ONE new member finally. I mean, I LOVE the number 42 second only to my beloved 36 (mmm, both of them so even... so divisible... especially by 6...), but staying at ANY one number for so many weeks in a row starts to get a bit old. Well, no longer! We're up to 43 now with EKRegulus joining the fold. And it'll soon be 44, then 45... no wait, 46! And so forth. Soooooo very many people between 9700 and 10000 in a second stat right now. NEW MEMBERS AHOY. EKR made it there first from this crop, though. Ya gotta hand it him. #;-}>

No status changes, but no biggie. That too is about to come in a big bunch all at once, as I keep mentioning in the status change section (not much else to talk about in there, yanno).

Thanks to Bahamut7 yet again for helping to point out someone deserving of a 1x10k mention (TITROTU, who I actually had seen the profile of a few times recently, but I guess I never scrolled down and noticed his nearly-10k blammage... now if only I could remember why I keep seeing his profile lately... I can't think of anything except that he must be submitting flashes or else reviewing a lot, because I'm hardly ever on the BBS anymore, so review modding and voting on UJ is all I tend to see new profiles from).

Fortunately, he was caught just in time instead of not too late like so many others have lately (iscrulz, M_I, Bahamut, LittleMissVixen, etc. etc.). Thanks, Bahamut! Two other new 1x10kers that I already had in the spreadsheet plus that one = 3 for the week. Back to sanity after the 8 we had last week.

And we're now up from 396 to 397 being tracked in the spreadsheet. I've had all the columns set for new additions to the spreadsheet up to row #400 for months and months and months... looks like it's about time to do a fill-down from line #400 to around #450 or perhaps even #500 just to get it out of the way. :::nods:::

I'm trying not to take these for granted at all, since my days at #2 are numbered. Who will be taking me down to #3 on my own creation, my own beloved totally-original list from late 2003? Why, none other than NG's own MPA, the guy who took me down from #2 to #3 on the top 50 b/p list.

So it's fitting, at least. But I gotta tell you, if MPA knocks me down from #2 to #3 in any other lists in this lifetime... he'd better watch his back, cause it'll REALLY start to get old at that point. #;-}>

That was my point as well. If donations weren't possible to make on RG, you would have hit 10,000 in cash on RG before you even hit 1,000 posts. Now how long ago did you hit 1,000 posts on RG? That's when ya shoulda qualified for the RG quadlist, even if you don't care about making it ASAP. ;_;

That would have been good enough to enter this list in July 2004, but sadly since August of 2004, blams and saves are split and you need 10k of at least ONE of them separately, not combined... and since March of 2005, you need 10k in TWO stats to get on the list. So keep aiming tall, man, and one day you'll make it to the list.

However, I don't think I've been in any lists yet in that case (Not that I care about stats but this may be a nice place to post at to nice people anyway). =)

Heh. If you're not on any lists on NG yet, trust me... this isn't the one to aim for to get on first... there are other MUCH easier lists to make (such as the top 50 b/p list, for one... or at least the user-run 51-100 one).

But you're quite welcome to hang out here. This IS a nice place to post with other nice stat-loving people. There's nothing wrong with caring about stats on NG, BTW. Just as long as you don't go insanely crazy over them (and hey, where to draw that line is YOUR business, don't let anyone tell ya different!).

I've had to slow down (if not stop, on some days) my saving to try and get my blams closer to 36k before I let my saves (which are 188 from 24k) keep going up.... my retirement numbers approach.

And trust me, it's not fun getting so many blams. Getting 0 blams and lots of saves = teh best. Toocool had it right ALL ALONG.

As for me i have been catching up with real life and spending some quality time with my sister plus i was at Tybee Island for a 2 day weekend for some partying and i also got a new videogame so i haven't been on NG much lately,i knew i was gonna lose #1 for the week when i left for Tybee but i didn't care i needed a vacation from the grounds =P but i didn't expect to not even be in the top 3 lol oh well. =)

Again, no status changes. Next week, that is FINALLY going to change (as I pointed out in the update itself, 9930 exp = 10k next Sunday unless Rabindarath misses a deposit).

No changes to the spreadsheet this week, though I did scan through every single one of the 397 users this weekend (I have to do that every couple o' months to ensure I'm not missing anyone way down in the depths... and indeed, I discovered that Newgrundling and a few others have been quite busy in the past month or so, getting closer and closer to 10k in one stat). Not too many people with 1x10k already that are nearing 2x10k that I didn't already know about/wasn't already checking the profile of every freakin' Sunday.

So anywho, a bit tiring, but I started checking around 5 PM today (almost 6 hours ago), and though I took some breaks here and there, that early start gave me enough time to get all of this done, including typing up this post, before midnight NG time (though as usual, I won't be posting to the BBS until at least right after midnight).

Yeah, I know. I'm going to be approaching my retirement numbers very slowly, trust me. And as soon as I notice whistled movies being deleted... Yeah, I've noticed how many reviews you've been getting lately. Just a tiny bit of blams and saves, but as long as you're still getting your exp (and plenty of reviews), all is well with the world.

Hell, you've got 5x10k, man. It doesn't matter anymore if you neglect your blams and saves (though you DO want to get to EGSC someday, right?) for any period of time, really.

I noticed someone dropping from 2700 posts a month or two ago to 1200 or so by today when I checked their profile for the first time in around 7 weeks... and another person who had like 1500 back then was down to only 500 now (I can't remember who the former was, but the latter was PointsofAuthority from ADGBC, actually).

5k WOULD be nice, yes. Just reaching 500 reviews was quite the treat for myself, since at least I was halfway to 1k...

And I went from 300 to 500 reviews in only a month or two, back around Clock Day 2004... but it's taken me forever to get up from there to 642... I hope to make it to 1000 someday, but that's about it for my review goals. I might stop at 1000 for a looooong time like carmelhadinosaur.

Hey, like I already said, I worked quite a lot of the time between 5 PM and 11 PM my time, and you are indeed lucky you didn't have to wait until 1 AM for the update. #;-}>

The convo... with my SON... didn't have to wait until I reached the goal because it was a spur of the moment fun thing I decided to do due to the weekend ending and me feeling like being silly. Things like that are necessary for me to stay sane with a 5-day, 40-hour workweek coming up (last week was 4-day, 32-hour due to labor day, and that week was stressful enough without a workday on Monday, so... I'm kinda not looking forward to this Monday morning.... i.e. 8 hours from now when I have to be at work... ;_;)

As for me staying at #2, it's very very very unlikely. Unless MPA goes on a b/p vacation or I manage to get insane amounts of b/p despite a full workweek... or both, actually... he's going to pass me due to b/p differential alone... by Thursday, most likely.

But I'll still try to have a good week. My job is going to be wayyyy more stressful than MPA passing me on my own list, trust me. So shed no tears for my stat losses here on NG, fellow stat-heads. Just shed a silent tear or two because I have to wake up at the ungodly hour of 6:30 AM for five days in a row this week... as usual. Bleck. #;-}>
