Pentalist update #13 is up!
Hello all and welcome to Bahamut's 2x10k Pentalist update #13!
Thanks for the update, dude.
Status changers for this update: No new changers.

Well, things are pretty sweet right now for us three folks just sitting here all alone in between 100,000 and 110,000 (seriously, #13 and #17 are right there at the extremes of that range, it's only the three of us in the middle)... nice and calm, not much going on. all of us just chugging along nice and slow.
Too bad there's some speed demons coming up from behind in the coming months. It's gonna go from NICE AND CALM to... horribly stormy SUPER fast at that point. ;_;
Anyway, thanks for capturing me at 24360 exp and 32420 saves and 105366 total pentapoints. Lots of 36iness and 42iness all around.

Hmm I passed ornery but Gagsy dropped me back to the 57th spot again. She must really have a crazy pace, considering the fact that I myself did pretty good this month with about a 45 points per day average.
Well, her 2556 haul compared to your 1371 haul would suggest nearly double your 45 ppd, yes. Maybe around 88 ppd, I'd estimate?

Hm, 500 less points than last time. Must have something to do with my lower B/P-pace.
Yeah, that'll always do it. With the exception of those crazy postwhores and reviewwhores, b/p pace is the lifeline of the pentalist user. That's why I've barely moved since I retired in 2005.

The old NG profile was nothing BUT left column stats, man.
That's why the left column is the REAL stats column now after the redesign. Because it inherited ALL the oldschool profile info.
So, why weren't audio reviews included in the old Pentalist at first? I know, they wheren't shown on profiles from day one, but once they have been added they where left column stats, right?
Yes, but they were never on the old profiles. So when they were added to the left column, it felt artificial.
They're there because they fit with flash reviews right above them. Doesn't mean I have to see them equally (I never took the stickerstat that seriously, either... or popularity, for that matter... and both of those were on the old profiles... exceptions that prove the rule).
And, in fact, audio reviews were added to our newfangled profiles' left columns shortly before I retired from doing the list, so... I didn't want to start making changes right at the end. Bahamut took care of the changery for me, anyway.
The rest of the new profile page is interesting, what with its expanded favourites sections and its review listings and its newsposts and all that shit, but NONE OF IT is the main core stat mothership. #;-}>
Times are changing, man.
Maybe in a few years when all those new users are what we, the regulars, are now, they will see things different.
Bah. Screw that future. I choose to write a different future: where the values we have now as NG statwhores are PRESERVED, goddamnit!
The old profile page was solid stats. All the non-stat stuff took up hardly ANY space, or was in a drop down menu (the faves, for instance). It was a thing of beauty. Man, I miss those profiles. Except for the pop-up part. I actually like the non-pop-upness of the new ones. But man, I miss the statliness, front and center. STATS WERE KING.
Yeah, the old profiles where great. I pity all those users who have never seen them, nor did never have one.
Now there's a sentiment I can get behind. Glad you came around by the end of your post. #;-}>

there ya go. Nice and sleek looking. You sure love those |s, though. #;-}>
Well, I'm slowly closing the gap to iscrulz. Only cut it down by 925, but then again, it's coming down, which is positive. I can keep on working that over and I'm sure that both of us will disprove gfox's merry jibe that Gagsy will be the next user to 100,000 points.
Well, when I said that, I had my tongue half in cheek, at least, plus I didn't even bother to look at the list first and see who was between 70,000 and 100,000. #;-}>
Yeah, with users such as yourselves sitting there around 95k and moving upwards at a decent pace, my claim can't help but be wrong. I didn't even realise you guys were that close to 100k. Last thing I remember, I was posting with you about you having passed 88,888 and then being close to 90,000!
Anyway, just thank your lucky stars that Gagsy isn't already around 90k, because if so... then what I said probably woulda been true after all. #;-}>
