The Blam points will come in time, just got to wait and wait. I really really need to do some reviewing now though. I'm working all day sunday I believe, so then would be a good time to start. Alsooooo eventually, could this list include Medal points? I mean I think there are nearly 2500 medal points to collect already. So it looks likely I suppose that soon enough there will be over 10,000 points for that to collect. Thoughts?

I suppose it's gonna happen sooner or later. The question to Bahamut is: When? When someone reaches 10,000 Medal Points? When at least three users reach it?

It´s probably going to be the easiest stat to get to 10k though. Especially over time when there will be a whole lot of easy medals worth 5-10 points.

What? No. You want it to be a nice 'first milestone' number and 20,000 is just way out of reach for people. As for this list I'm nearly near 10,000 in posts and I'm (slowly) getting there with my saves. Of course I'm still way off being put onto this list.

Really, you would no longer be the only person pentalisted. Right now you would be doublelisted and if you deposit you exp you could become triple listed in about a week. Then you would have to write 3,000+ reviews to get there. Well i guy your the type of guy who likes a challenge, but for now 10,000 is enough for me because i still have a long way to get on the list as it is @;-}>

Yeah i like a good challange have not seen one in years though :( but yeah getting 3,000 reviews would be interesting, i need about the same in posts aswell so guess its the same.

It just seems that the list would be fine as is as at the moment there's no problems with it or what not. Even then though if someone has 10,000 Medal Points they've still got to have the total stats AND another stat with 10,000 which is another challenge altogether.

A few things:

1. The Pentalist update will be postponed until later this week due to distractions from Easter holiday and real life events.

2. Medal Points will be introduced when the stat pulling program has been modified/remade to make it read Medal Points. Right now, it's not possible with the program I have at the moment.

3. When Medal Points will be part of the 10k lists, the list will then require three 10k stats rather than the two due to how easy it could be to acquire 10k MP. So yes, it'll be from 2x10k Pentalist to 3x10k Hexalist.

You can't make it a 3x10k Hexalist, i am almost on my way of getting 2 stats over 10,000. I only have 250 give or take days until i get 10k experience points. If this goes into effect soon i will need to get 5,000 more blams or 5,000 more posts, i do plan to get thoes in good time but your breaking my balls with this @;-}> Well it may take a good amount of time for several users to get 10k medal points so i may get on the list and then taken off when it is made into a 3x10k.

I think this is a very bad idea. They are way too easy to get and should not be regarded as Newgrounds "stats". Compare 50 blams, saves, reviews, posts or experience points to 50 medal points, the huge difference is that the latter may take as little as a couple of seconds for anyone to get.

I'd lose faith in this list if it included medal points, definitely.

But it is a stat on our profile page, so what other reason other than "they are too easy to get! *cries*" is there?

Besides, it STILL takes some time to get to 10k medal points, even though there will be lots of easy medals out there in the near future. But a user still needs to play those games to get the medals.

And, to be honest... how hard is it to make a post on the BBS? Should we now exclude posts from the list as well, because getting posts is too easy?

Yes, for anyone. And therefore it´s not unfair against anyone either I would say. Plus I think any medal collector isn´t going to have that much of an edge statpointswise over anyone that doesn´t like to take the trouble to collect medals. Because:
a) There is a limit to the amount of medal points one can get
b) 90% of the current medals are fairly easy to obtain with a bit of effort. Especially the ones from the later medalgames.

Although I can imagine some of the current 2*10k´ers aren´t going to like the changes. Maybe Bahamut should wait until a few people have actually reached 10k MP? =/

The thing about every other stat is that you can only get ONE at a time (except exp, but you can only get 10 EXP per day anyway, which is slower than a lot of people's B/P or posting rate). With medal points, you can get 10, 25, or 50 at a time. Hypothetically, with enough games that featured medal points available, it would probably be possible for a user to make it to 10,000 in about a day, which really, REALLY cheapens the validity of it as a countable 10k stat IMO; I thought the point of having this list was to honour the users who had toiled long and hard to gain their 10k stats.

I really don't think medal points are a worthy stat to be added onto the list, and as such I implore you all to reconsider adding them into the mix.

Let's leave MP out of this altogether, it's so much easier to get these over the EXP, BP, and reviews which take years to come up with, whereas medal points up to 10k could take just a few days.

I really hope so, I enjoy getting them on game systems but if they get enough medals to make 10k medal points possible in one day then it really isn't needed. The list is intended for those who spent ages working towards 2*10k points in any area, not just for medal point users. =(

I would not say this is a very easy stat to get up over 10,000 very fast. Just look at yourself for example :::no disrespect to you::: But you have been on the site posting for over 7 years and you have only gotten yourself 3,000 post's as of late. Most of those are very good quality post's that you have made. I have seen users who just post shit for the hell of it :::will not name anyone,but looks around::: Get there posts deleted. Such as myself if i had not made such short posts 2 years ago i would have 5,700+ posts. Thats the way it goes so someone may have well over 10k posts and a mod looks over them and see's that alot of them are worthless he could loose up to several hundred at a time.

Let's say a user wants to achieve 10k points by getting all medals that are worth 50 points. He would need 10.000/50 = 200 Medals. Still quite an achievement, right?

But yeah, I see the point that it takes a relatively short time to achieve this. Maybe the points needed to get onto the list should be higher then. (like 50k or 100k? But then it wouldn't be a "Top 10k Exp/Saves..."-list anymore)
Or we discard the medal POINTS and count MEDALS instead. 10k MEDALS should be really hard to get, no matter how many games with medals there are.

Slowly working my way up to the top 100 here as well (as I am in B/P and in voting power).
This time I got more blams than saves, which is pretty cool. At least for me... shows that it IS possible to clear out the crap from the UJ phase. Also, I think I set my expectations a bit higher, which results in me pressing the '0' button more often, and because of that I get more blams. Easy. ^^

Posting is as slow as always... will take quite a while to get to 10k, lol.
Also, I only got 7 more reviews. STILL try to get back into reviewing, which sadly isn't that easy to do, now that the RRC is dead and after such a long break.

I did pretty well again and gained four ranks. Almost made my way into the top 60 :) Just need to pass ScottTowels who´s only one week away. I also got a nice amount of stats this month, better than in former months. Been quite active on the forums lately, so I think that´s the reason.

the idea of making ANTHER list of 20K would be great
but not to REPLACE the first one...
a lot of user are working a lot to enter the 2x10k... imagine how hard would it be to get in the 2x20k?

(to enter a 1x20K list would be easy... because of the lot of happy saver now)

Thanks to the negative feedback I received (which I didn't have any of before posting the announcement), I've reconsidered the idea of including medal points in the 10k list and will add medals instead as Haggard suggested. I can understand why people weren't going to like the idea, so I hope having medals (not medal points) instead will be fine with you all. If everyone's fine with that, then the list will be a 2x10k Hexalist rather than the 3x10k I was considering. One thing, however, if it's approved by all, this won't be added to the list right away.

Unfortunately, I can't alter the program on my own. The program was designed by Casualty, so there isn't much I can do right now.
