well i have a stupid issue with fl.. and I dunno if any of you wanna take a stab at it.. we are going right down to the basic functions of a waveform here..

when I work in a tracker, it shows a sample... the sample in this case sorta looks like this:

wave file in tracker

unfortunately fl appears to be STUPID and imports the same file like THIS.

wave file in fl studio

asyou can see - the wav file not only doesnt LOOK the same nemore.. it also is missing the markers. Now I know if you raise the crf knob a bit it will put markers at the beginning and end, but this does not help me - I need it to play to a certain point and then loop for the rest. Any suggestions?

You'll have to open it in Edison, select the points that you want to be loop points, then set them as such. Then, save it with Edison, and try opening it. That should work.

well.. I finally caved and said fuck it to making fl do something as basic as making a wav file sound normal - so I just played the damn sample in the tracker, internally recorded it for like 10 seconds, imported it into a sample generator in fl - went to the vol. tab - moved the attenuation knob all the way to the left, and the hold tab all the way to the right. This basically makes it so that the sample plays upon input, and stops upon release. I mean ya, if I keep this up my flp file will be huge, which is what I was trying to avoid, but hey, whatever works right? Then it doesnt matter if there are damn audio markers or not.. stupid program..
