It depends on how good your work is. Make a part and PM it to me and I'll decide if you're in or not.

Also people post previews of your parts if you have done anything soon so that I can decide if you are in or not for the collab. This way Paperbat and I can work on the Bios and Credits more. I only know like 5 people that WILL get co-authored.

I said before that it was good and you needed to fix up a hit effect but this is what I want you to fix also...

Fighting was good but when I watched it again it was a little too fast for most people to see so slow down the action a bit.

Give effects with thick black outlines certain effects like screens, blurs, etc.

Well ok. That's less space I guess. Remember that if you are still staying in your part must be in Flash 8 or lower and it must be good.

Hmm... I'm going to drop out as well. It's not that i find this collab pointless it's just that I have too much on my table and when i signed up for this collab and i sort of forgot how much i had to do.

Ah, I've decided to drop out of this collab, and if anyone else has any sense they will do the same.
Allow me to elaborate.

As I have come back and realized what I got myself into, I got enough brains to get the hell out of this godforsaken collab.

EJRproductions is a partner in crime with Volkain5. And I mean that almost literally.
Volkain5 is a thief. He literally rips out content from Alvin Earthworm's (and recently BlackDevilX's) swf files and slaps them together in his own abominations that he submits to Newgrounds. By content I mean sprites (including customs), movieclips and symbols, sound effects, you name it.
If you don't believe me, watch Volkain5's Flash movies. Pay attention, although its so glaringly obvious that you don't even need an attention span to see how blantantly he steals Alvin's... everything.
I will use Volkain5's latest submission, Silver's True Destiny p2, for some examples.
Silver says "This power is amazing!" after he takes on his super form. In SMBZ 6, Sonic says the same thing when he uses the Starman.
The sprites are obvious rips of Alvin's symbols, right from his swf files, effects and everything. Look closely and you'll see (also note how unusual it is that his custom effects look like shit).
With that said, at the end of the movie, Super Sonic uses an energy beam. Not just any energy beam, but a custom energy beam that BDX made. That's right, that BDX made himself, in Flash, not with sprites or any premade graphics. The EXACT same one, ripped from BDX's swf.
In the movie, Sonic uses a spindash on Shadow, knocking loose the chaos emeralds. It might seem vaguely familiar to those who have seen SMBZ. Its the same triple replay effect, with the last one being in slowmotion, with the hit sound also being in slowmo. This is the exact same slowmo sound from SMBZ 6... same scenario... same triple replay... combined with a similar scene near the end of SMBZ 6 where Sonic and Mario knocked out Mecha Sonic's chaos emeralds.
I could go on for hours and hours about this, and recount every ripoff from SMBZ. But I'll stop there and go on to a new point.
Volkain5 and EJR are often defensive and quick to say things like "Its not like Alvin invented the style or anything we were 'inspired' by him blah blah etc"
Also, they leave funny comments or reviews on their own submissions saying things like "We worked so hard on these movies vote higher please."
What makes me sick about this, more than ANYTHING, is that these faggots are getting praised for this. It makes me sick to my stomach seeing reviews like "Good job" or "This movie was great" etc.
I would like to make it very clear, I hate Volkain5. I hate him and any of his cohorts involved in these monstrosities, these abominations to sprite animation... nay, animation all together.

I am warning all of you, who I have worked with in the past and everyone else, that you will only fuel the flames by participating in this collab. I STRONGLY urge you all to drop out of this collab now, or at LEAST look into this and give it a second thought. Please read through or at least skim through this post to learn the truth. If you don't believe me just watch their submissions and you should see immediately what I'm talking about. They STEAL everything out of Alvin's swf files, probably with Sothink or something similar, and slap the elements together in their own shitty Flash submissions. If you think that's bad, just imagine, you are sending your fla files to these freaks. Fla files that may contain your symbols, sounds, content, and even ideas. They will steal from you and cheat you out of your hard work as they have done with Alvin, I am certain of it, and I would hate to see that happen to all my friends here. Please, do not feed these parasites, I beg you all. You may end up regretting it, big time. Perhaps soon, when I get internet back at home, I will start a real SMBZ collab, from an honest to God animator, so the hard work you guys have already done does not go to waste.

I will not be in the LEAST bit surprised if EJR or Volkain5 denies or tries to make stupid excuses for all of this. But I am really curious, though you will probably not answer this, as to why you and Volkain5 would do this. Hard to say, I was taking breaks throughout the whole thing while talking to others in chats. I wasn't paying attention to the time much at all.

at short factor. i was indeed aware of it myself. volkain has given me effects before i had no idea that most of them were from alvin him self. if i have an effect thats not mine and is from alvin himself i am sorry but i didnt know. i will delete every effects i know that is only alvins and not use them unless i get his permission. i always thought alvin found these effects i didnt think he made some of them him self becuz, i found alot of effects that alvin used on mugen chars and on web sites. so like i sayd im sorry if i did take something from alvin without knowing. i will delete wats not mine

Ok so you predicted I would respond. Heres something to you. Number 1, Alvin never made ANY of the effect I have tooken and they were not tooken straight out of the SWFs. The aura toocken off of MUGEN I can even give you a character link. I admit I used the beam, but he doesn't care. Next of all you are quoting lines. I had no clue that Alvin put "This pwoer is amazing" Infact I didn't right the final dialogue, SMBZ1 (My friend from youtube) Helped me with the dialogue becuase my old was flavorless and was cheesy. (Sorry for spelling mistakes it is because I'm extremly angry) Also if you look at my hit effects, they are simple recolors of the Street Fighter Hit Effects. I can link you to that too. My effects are tacken from Mugen. And what are you saying praised? PRAISED? HA! I HAVE NOTHING! You think I have a fanbase? PPFFFTTTTT Coming from you?! I used to idolize you. And you do this? Come on? And like I'm the first to do simular fighting styles. Ok now onto the slow-mo thing. I admit I always liked how alvin repeated the hits 3 times the last being in slow motion. But I only used it as a reference. The emeralds were found on Spriters resource. And its exetremly easy to tween them then set the tween type to rotate. And the sound effects, import the wav into sound recorder (by windows) add slow down 100% and bam its slowed. I admit SMBZ Has been an inspiration to me. I'l admit the stories are slightly rip-offish. But then again half of my series isn't even written by me. Thats all I have to say for now. Thank you for ruining A TWELVE YEAR OLDS LIFE! Short-Factor my good sir. I know that you are right that Volkain is a faggot. He steals from everyone that he knows is better and criticizes everyone that he thinks is better than him including me as said by a few people that will not be named and that I barely know. I don't blame you at all for hating him or me at all. I've respected you since I've seen "Not Another Sprite Fight" a long time ago. I thought it was excellent and it is one of the very few animations other than SMBZ that got me into spriting. Having you in this collab would have been a great accomplishment to our success. I have asked Volkain5 to give me some of Alvin's effects since he decompiles them. He is very stubborn. He only gave me the SMBZ episode 4 .FLA file and I did steal from there but not as much as him. I took a few backgrounds and a few hit effects that almost everyone has and Volkain gave me a sprite sheet of the original hit effects. I also took the talking box and never used it because that would have made M&L: LoTaS look even more of a rip-off than people said it did.

Yes we were inspired by SMBZ. I didn't know that Volkain and I would go too far with taking effects. Whenever I ask him for effects he says okay but never gives them to me and saves them all to himself. Yes we both have stolen things but I haven't stolen as much as him. He has all of the episodes and a ton of other flashes. I had to figure out codes that Alvin used myself and his techniques with text and fighting without decompiling.

About the sounds. You said that he stole the sounds from SMBZ and yes he did but only Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Mecha Sonic, and a few other bounce noises and such. Other noises like hits and the "slo-mo" that you were talking about come in a DBZ sound pack so he did not steal that. I even use the same sound pack. The slo-mo sound is called "Meleeflash Slo-mo" or something like that.

As I've said before we were inspired and the fighting style is great so that is why we used it. I don't really get to say anything about the series. He's taken all of the videos that we've made and that other people have made and put them on Youtube and he never gives me any real credit so I've quit making the series with him because soon I will make a new series that will be better with an actual thought out storyline after the release of Episode 3 and the collab. He's really hard to work with.

I don't think people should leave this collab. I've given out some of Alvin's effects that Volkain didn't want me to give out so that others can use them. I didn't give all of them out because the effects that I still have hidden with me would be too misused all around sprite videos.

The reason why Volkain would take the sprites is really up to him. I have no say in that matter. We also do not hate sprite animation. Sprite animating is awesome to me. One of the first sprite fight's I've every seen that actually had Mario and Luigi was Super Mario Bros Z. After being inspired with that I've looked for more videos on Youtube with Mario and Luigi fights and as I've said before I saw "Not Another Sprite Fight" which was very good in my opinion. This was 8 or 9 months ago when I first started animating with Flash. Since then I've been practicing and I have gotten much better with Mario and Luigi fights compared with others and their Sonic and Shadow fights.

A long comment deserves a long response and I hope this explains something. I usually get lost when I type a lot so if you notice something that you do not understand please tell me so that I could clear it up. I hope that you return to this collab eventually because I am not trying to be a suck up but I seriously mean that this collab would be better with you.

Short-factor... your speech made me think a second time if I should stay in this collab.... And for the 2 others, I cant fallow your conflicts... xD But I will, as a flash animator, try to take out Alvin's sounds effects Because I know what it feels to steal works from the others... Anyway, for now, I don't feel continuing this collab unless everything go back to normal :S So, I'll be in a * Stand by * mode Until everything goes great^^

The reason this has been made such a big deal is because to him it seems like I'm not doing anything myself. But I do and I put a lot of effort into my movies. The huge reason of why it is such a big deal it because he htinks this was a plot to steal everybody's effects. But this collab isn't. EJR even gave out effects. I know we will be able to work this out though. And soon everything will be ok..... for everybody but me :'(

Yeah seriously. No one should even drop out of the collab anyway... The more people that drop out, the more likely this thread is to be locked.

I really want people to try. You don't even have to use the sprites I gave you. Use any mario, luigi, Sonic, Shadow, or anything. We're going to have a lot of great parts that I've seen so far... Beast-Unleashed is great, Volkain is pretty good except he "steals" Alvin's fighting style and Paperbat if he decides to stay is good too. I can't really say for myself but I think that I have a unique style of animating and so does everyone else. This collab is to show it and so that people that can't finish a full animation could at least try especially with an SMBZ styled collab.
