It is I, the Grommit. But enough with formalities.

My thread is about The Zodiac. How many of you actually believe the crap about the stars and the horoscopes and whatnot. Personally, I somewhat sort of think that its weird how it can be closely related to what's going on in your life at the time, and sometimes it just seems like utter bullshit. Mainly, it says that the match between myself and the girl that I've liked for a long time would produce some fights but overall a "sexual garden of delicious fruit".

Anyway, what are your views on The Zodiac?

(if this has been done before, eat my ass it wasn't in the search)

Oh, and by the way, I'm a Leo. ; )

I don't believe in all that stars bs. Anyways I've heard because of the Earths movement or some other thingamajiggie that the actual zodiacs for the months have changed quite a while ago, but the old zodiacs are still used.

Not to go off subject but you guys ever heard of the Zodiac Killer? My friends mom ,who was an old hippe hitchhiker, had a friend who claimed to actually meet the guy but he didn't kill her because he had met his quota for that month. Don't know if its true or not, but its pretty freaky.

I dont believe in the zodiac signs. Apparently I am a scorpio, but it really doesnt mean that much to me. I look at horoscopes sometimes if I had a bad day. Usually on those days I have 5 stars, so I was supposed to have a great day. That usually makes me laugh.

I think there may be some "deeper meaning" way deep down, but it's been so lost that it's indecipherable; the horoscopes you see in newspapers and stuff are crap.

They're so vague and open-ended that they can't help but appear right to those who want them to be right. Misses are completely ignored while any 'hits' the horoscope makes, are presumed to be due to them actually working.

Those phony television psychics work in a similar way.

I don't think they ever caught him. What I heard was that he wore shoes which were only issue to military/amry type personnel. He was also not afraid of being caught. Killings during the day in highly populated places like the park. Also he left notes which were written using zodiac symbols. On one of the notes were a few characters that no one could translate. Some believe its his Real Name...

corvette, we're talking about zodiacs.

zodiacs are never true for me...

Zodiac: "You're gonna meet a hot chick"
What happens: I'm at my house, sick with the flue.

Zodiac: "Today, you will become very rich"
What happens: I lose my wallet

Zodiac: "You're mix cd isn't going to sale"
What happens: I make $1000 off of "Invertago" single sells.

I'm sceptical, but then, they must have something out for me, those stars, because a bunch of my signs (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter I believe) are all in Gemini, and it fits me perfectly.

I don't really believe both horoscope and Tarot predictions.(Well, unless I : Get rich, get my girlfriend back, succeed in everything.)

But they are knowledge passed from a long ago, so it MIGHT have some truth in it.

BTW, I'm Cancer. Anyone know if they will add Serpentarius in the zodiac? Then I will be Gemini.

I am aquarius. Apparently:

Aquarius is the eleventh Sign of the Zodiac, and Aquarians are the perfect representatives for the Age of Aquarius. Those born under this Sign have the social conscience needed to carry us into the new millennium. These folks are humanitarian, philanthropic and keenly interested in making the world a better place. Along those lines, they'd like to make the world work better, which is why they focus much of their energy on our social institutions and how they work (or don't work). Aquarians are visionaries, progressive souls who love to spend time thinking about how things can be better. They are also quick to engage others in this process, which is why they have so many friends and acquaintances. Making the world a better place is a collaborative effort for Aquarians.

The Sign of Aquarius is symbolized by the Water Bearer. In much the same way that the Water Bearer brings that precious liquid as a gift, Aquarians shower the world with their thoughts and new ideas. Luckily for Aquarians (and the rest of us), they are at a near-genius level, so their minds churn out some amazing things. Their thought process is also inventive and original. While Aquarians are happy to bestow these ideas as a gift with no strings attached, they are much happier when the rest of the world agrees with them. Naysayers will quickly find out that Aquarians can be impatient, even temperamental, with those who disagree. Yes, these folks can be quite fixed in their opinions, in keeping with the Fixed Quality assigned to this Sign. Even though Aquarians are happy to give, and they do, it's often on their terms and within their comfort level. Generally, that means ample space, since these folks are freedom-loving and individualistic and need to roam (and yes, they do enjoy travel). While Aquarians are generally sympathetic and compassionate, they like it when things go their own quirky way. Some might call their behavior eccentric (and they would be right), but when you consider that the Aquarian's heart is truly in the right place, a few oddities should be overlooked. In their own way, Aquarians treasure their many friends and acquaintances and want to give back as much as they can.

I'm sorta that, sorta...

Yeah...

Those born under this Sign have the social conscience needed to carry us into the new millennium.

Ok, I don;t disagree with that, I am a very concientios person - disagree and I'll slice you up, mofo.

These folks are humanitarian, philanthropic and keenly interested in making the world a better place.

I went to a protest march against the Iraq war. I don't like Tony Blair. That's about it.

Along those lines, they'd like to make the world work better, which is why they focus much of their energy on our social institutions and how they work (or don't work).
OGM I'm taking socioloogy in college! How do they work these things out? And I would like to make the world better!
Aquarians are visionaries, progressive souls who love to spend time thinking about how things can be better.

Yeah, whatever... It's pretty obvious how things coule be better.

They are also quick to engage others in this process, which is why they have so many friends and acquaintances.

RIGHT! I do have a lot of friends! And I can convince them to do... stuff...

Making the world a better place is a collaborative effort for Aquarians.

This doesn't apply to everyone now, does it? Oh, yeah, it does.

The Sign of Aquarius is symbolized by the Water Bearer.

HAhahahahah! Oh, I thought it said water-beaver.

In much the same way that the Water Bearer brings that precious liquid as a gift, Aquarians shower the world with their thoughts and new ideas.

MMMMMMMMM... no......
Luckily for Aquarians (and the rest of us), they are at a near-genius level, so their minds churn out some amazing things.
My GOD! I knew I was a genius all along! This is AMAZING!

Their thought process is also inventive and original.

I guess I am pretty creative.

While Aquarians are happy to bestow these ideas as a gift with no strings attached, they are much happier when the rest of the world agrees with them.

No shit, Sherlock. I would like people to agree with me; what's the point in having opinions if you don't want others too heed them?

Naysayers will quickly find out that Aquarians can be impatient, even temperamental, with those who disagree.

Shaddapayaface. I am not temperamental.

Yes, these folks can be quite fixed in their opinions, in keeping with the Fixed Quality assigned to this Sign

BULLSHIT! I am NOT fixed in my opinos either.. I listen to reason.

Even though Aquarians are happy to give, and they do, it's often on their terms and within their comfort level.

MMMMMmmmmmkay... I don't think I agree with that either.

Generally, that means ample space, since these folks are freedom-loving and individualistic and need to roam (and yes, they do enjoy travel).

I most certainly do NOT enjoy travel - it hurts my ears. I enjoy the arriving and the holiday, but not the travel part.

While Aquarians are generally sympathetic and compassionate, they like it when things go their own quirky way.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like it when stuff goes my way. Amazing.

Some might call their behavior eccentric (and they would be right), but when you consider that the Aquarian's heart is truly in the right place, a few oddities should be overlooked.

Aaaaawwwwwww.... wait a minute, what do you mean, oddities?

In their own way, Aquarians treasure their many friends and acquaintances and want to give back as much as they can.

Yeah.

If you ask me, however, I think being Aquarius means my parents had sex in early summer.

Of course, I've heard of him. ;)

Yes, he sent about 20 taunting letters to the police with, almost everytime, a cypher. In which he claimed his name was in the code. But the police never did find him, or crack the code of the cyphers. He mostly 'did his thing' around the San Francisco Bay area. He murdered around 7 people, or something. And yes, he's still at large. :|
