Put this on the guy that dies.

onClipEvent (enterFrame) {this.gotoAndStop ("Dead")}

of course this only works if you've actually animated something on a frame of the movieclip called "dead."

You can't just type this.animation = dead and have flash animate it fo you.

look, you use animation tools for movies, and codes for games. If your animating a madness movie, you need to ANIMATE the people dying, you can't get a code to do it for you (well, technicly you could use API, but ill not go into all the detail, and it would be far easier to animate it) Is it really that hard to animate a guy falling over and some blood comming out?

you would never use API to animate this, just animate it API is far too advanced for what you need.

when i have put the code there is some errors it say Clip events are permitted only for movie clip instances and 1087: Syntax error: extra characters found after end of program.
what i have to do to solve these problems

i suggest you give up flash animation and find somthing more simple for a hobbie, such as rolling a ball on the floor or seeing how fast you can stand up. I think these activities are more....you!!!

Ok, let me explain:
Coders do not draw things, it is not possible to enter a code that will make a character die for you.
If you want to have your madness guy die then you will have to draw him yourself, there's no magic coding which does it for you.

and that code does work i wrote {this.gotoAndStop ("Dead")} but nothing happen i wrote and i wrote onClipEvent (enterFrame) {this.gotoAndStop ("Dead")} it contains errors and when i wrote (enterFrame) {this.gotoAndStop ("Dead")} contains error TOO

Lets get this straight. Just forget what I said about API. There is NO WAY to get a code which will make your guy fall dead. You have to animate ti yourself. Juts make a motion tween, rotate the guy 90 degrees, and then draw a red splodge around him. Its not that hard.
