It's a little thing, but it's stupid. When I go to bed I need to put in this clear mouth guard for the top teeth in my mouth. My teeth doesn't look to have any problems, but the dentist thinks I grind my teeth at night, causing damage, yet I'm not even aware of myself grinding my teeth.

you wouldn't be, it's a self conscious thing. Trust me you'll be thanking the dentist when you don't completely fuck up your teeth.

My dad has one of those because he grinds his teeth.
He said that he got headaches and toothaches every day before he got the guard, but they all stopped afterwards. So hopefully whatever issues you have will stop as well.

oops typo, I meant subconscious. Besides, at least it's not permanently attached like braces or something.

Well when you grind your teeth when you sleep, you grind your teeth when you sleep.

It's good for your teeth and it's not that big of a deal. Why are you complaining?

Unlucky...
It's either wear it or further ruin your teeth. Pretty black and white really.

True. The only time I recall grinding my teeth when I'm knew it is when I get sick. When I'm sick I do it in a deep sleep and it wakes me up.

When I had braces I had to wear this damned thing at night. It was this metal thing that I hooked inside my mouth and attached it to this band that went to the back of my neck. It was annoying and painful to take off in the morning, probably why I hated sleeping in 5th/6th grade.

I have the same thing. I used to have serious jaw problems during eating and drinking. I never used to be able to lock my jaw open and I had problems making out with girls as well.
That's what prompted me to finally start talking to the dentist about a possible solution.
when you talk, i dont care what it means, shouldn't just stare at you, should i?

You'll get used to it. I actually had to wear one about a week ago due to an infection I had from a root canal. I'd wake up in the morning with extreme pain because I would grind my teeth in sleep. Just make sure you mold it right, or it will just fall out.

At least you don't have to wear what I wore for sometime on my face, at night.
That was hell.

I had to wear mouth-guards at night for a while, but I wore them instead of retainers. It was every night for a bit, then every other night, then once a week, and so on, and so forth.
I didn't really mind.

Suck it up and wear the mouthguard, it's worse than some other things your dentist can do to you.
Besides, you'll thank your dentist for it later. They're not that bad, anyway.

He's saving your teeth, without it you'll literally grind them down to the nerve, giving you easy cavities and probably years of dental work.

On the bright side, from now on you should have no trouble taking a punch when you're sleeping.

Man that sucks, I have to wear one for football, and you drool so much, and it's sometimes hard to breathe while wearing one.
