hello, this probably sounds strange but does anyone have any insight into scripting a simple platforming character?

what I usually see is
UP ARROW: JUMP
LEFT ARROW: left
RIGHT ARROW: right
SPACE: jump

or
X: jump
Z: attack
Arrow buttons: move

I would liek to script the player to:
ARROW BUTTONS: move
NUMBER PAD 1: attack
NUMBER PAD 2: jump
NUMBER PAD 0: pause.

is the number pad off limits when it comes to scripting?

Just about all keys can be used in AS. Look up a keycode table.
