If you haven't used a version on the list I'm about to provide, then don't worry about including it, just list the versions you have used from best to worst.
Here's the operating systems from PCs released in chronological order:
Windows 1.0
Windows 2.03, 2.11
Windows 3.0, 3.1x, and Workgroups
Windows NT 3.5
Windows 95
Windows NT 4.0
Windows 98 & 98 SE
Windows 2000
Windows Me
Windows XP
Windows Vista

Actually, not so much, it crashes occasionally. With later improvements it will probably become better though.

I like XP much better.
XP pwns. I have vista on my other computer and its the most frustrating shit I have ever used. My xp computer never crashes, doesnt freeze the computer and ask me to verify to do everything even if it is to move stuff to the recycle bin. Now theyre doing that ad campain with Jerry Seinfeld trying to promote how "good" Vista is. Sorry Bill, I'm sticking with XP. I hate Vista, even with the new service pack they released the computer that I have it on is still useless...Im just going to blow it out and put XP on it.

It has yet to crash on me and I've used it since RC2. XP used to crash all the time before SP2 update. So yeah, Vista is the best currently.
My List, best to worst.
Windows XP & 2000
Windows 95
Windows 3.0, 3.1x, and Workgroups
Windows 98 & 98 SE
Windows ME
Windows Vista
If you want to know why I HATE Vista then just look at my latest news post.
I'd love to hear from you. :3 | E-Mail: evansweeney@gmx.com | AIM: EvantheDeku | Oh dear, Dekuboy is back..
It's like, every three mainstream releases of windows, there's this huge one that changes and revolutionizes everything.
Windows 95changed everything...then we had 98, ME, then XP/2000, then Vista, Windows 7, then we'll have to wait until 2015 or so to get another real breakthrough.
Mark my word, Windows 7 is probably just going to be a polished turd (aka polished Windows Vista)
Ordered from good to bad.
Linux (this is a joke)
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Save Firefox and free software!
iMate900 4 BBS Mod in 2010!
RIP Michael Jackson. RIP Billy Mays. (But I do not care for them)
Vista is the best... People bash vista and talk shit just to be on the bandwagon. I currently use Xp but my friend has vista and I much prefer it. My favorite feature is the translucent windows. And the ability to scroll over a closed window and see what it looks like without opening it.
Vista
Xp
2000
95
Windows 98 & 98 SE
Windows XP
MS-DOS
Windows 3.1
Windows 2000
Windows Vista
Windows Me
wolf piss
Windows 97 was the best.
Windows Cactus Edition was probably the weakest of the bunch.

You can get that on XP with less lag than Vista's.
You're obviously a computer noob, you call minimized closed.
I can't actually imagine why you're looking down here, but while you are...

Windows 2.03 FTW!
XP wishes it was as good as Windows 2.03
I, personally, think that XP is the pinnacle of Windows OS's.
As much as they try, I don't think Microsoft can better it.
Meh, Ubuntu's better than XP.
I'd say XP, because all my programs work on it. Once Vista gets itself together, I'll switch over.
I wonder what they'll do after Vista.
It has yet to crash on me and I've used it since RC2. XP used to crash all the time before SP2 update. So yeah, Vista is the best currently.
Everyone hates Vista, and you know it. The only reason you said you like Vista is so others get angry at you. Its the same reason you're the only user with a McCain sig. You need to burn in hell and realize that just because you have a different opinion doesnt mean you have to throw it in everyone's faces and piss us all off just for the sake of conversation.
RAWR.

Ugh, linux can do all that and much more with no lag on an older computer.
I can't believe I put up with window's crap for so long, and so many other people still do.
you forgot about the business & pro versions of those

Windows 2000 is rather fucking swell, I must say.
XP, purely because it's a bit less system hungry than Vista, and since I wouldn't use any of the new features in Vista anyway, I'd rather just stick with what I know, and have a slightly faster computer.

Yes forgive me that I don't know the correct terminology for a closed window.
Could you possibly tell me where I can get that for XP?
