The reason people believe in something with no evidence is because they have faith, something that most religions are based on.

It's a tactic they employ, reading the bible that is. See, they figure that if you waste so much time reading it, that you're going to want to believe it. If you don't by the time you're done, you'll realize that you've just wasted tons of time on a poorly written work of fiction, and acknowledging that would be a blow to your pride, unlike any other.

Totally agree with you about this subject. I've learned though it's hopeless to argue with a religious fanatic. Anything you say to them they immedaitlly come back with" your going to hell" blah blah blah.

Actually,I'm christian.And the reason why I believe in God is because the universe couldn't create itself by logic.And as for who created God,I think God had no creator,he existed before the beginning of time,and our finite human minds just can't comprehend all the facts about God,like where he came from.That's what I believe.

I beilive that there is a creator, mainly because i dont see how everything was started just by a big bang. I mean, what sparked the big bang? if you cant answer that then sciences theory on how life began is just as fickle as us religious types.

I beilive in an afterlife because i just cant imagine not existing after i am gone, i think its impossible for consciousness to be destroyed.

So you scientifics can ask, "well who created god?"

and likewise we can ask, "What created the chemicals that created the big bang?"
