Art coursework... would this make you cringe? the thought of touching it? ' Trying to explore covering different things in glass for different reactions. This one is my first though so there will be more random breaking of glass in the future kids!

Where'd you get all the glass? Did you break bottles yourself? If so, how many bottles did you break?

Try a different angle! it could be interpreted as ice, try a top view again, but with an angle

its a bit to dense and buys to really tell that those are all broken glass fragments. you might try to make it a bit less busy so that we can see that there is just glass, but just busy enough to give the impression that there is no were you could touch without getting cut.

Was kinda fun breaking the bottles but not so fun cutting myself a lot on the shards that escaped the board. I have more photos for different angles. Heres like a side one.

i think its very interesting but theres a meaning thas underneith it. its also very ice like, so maybe next time you could use oil or enamel on it to make a different color affect
I will continue to row my fake canoe

Actually, ice makes ME cringe.. so when I saw the glass (which looked like ice), I cringed myself. Wasn't the intended subject, but it got the intended reaction.. so uh, there you go.

Nice texture, might work if it's the first thing you see coming around a wall. Though too busy to develop a "cringe" effect imo. Your eyes are all over the place soaking everything in. If the concept for the course is to visually portray the emotion then consider leaving more up to the viewer. Cringe itself has a strong auditory connection. First thing I immediately pictured was nails so deep into a chalkboard that they ripped off. I guess I'm reading into it as a scene and not a texture.
No cuts?
