Oh, I'm positively sure its for pressure sensitivity when your using a graphics tablet. You can tell he's using a tablet when you see the cursor being the outline of a circle.

Actually it could be because the tablet is too old. I used to have pressure sensetivity in flash 6. I updated to cs3 and it's not there. I've tried re-installing the drivers from the disc and it's done nothing.
I guess it's just not compatible.
