Well, let's see if any of these little gems can successfully impress:
-With handdrawn symbols, madness-esque violence against nazis, and quite moving music, I'm surprised this submission has a scant 2k views.
-We've all known this guy in real life, which makes this short so funny.
-An interesting mixture of wonderful art and allusions to mortality, this serious short is somehow touching.
-While episode 5 of the GGAVANG series leads the series with a daily feature and 10k views, I believe that the GGAVANG series has not garnered enough attention, especially this early one. I just can't help but laugh at the outcome of this episode, no matter how many times I replay it. And only slightly over 2k views. Tsk tsk.
-This game deserves more than the 5k views it has. Even if you don't understand Japanese (I do, and it only makes the game more endearing; trust me) it is a bright, charming, easy to understand game that ultimately is able to entertain and help you waste some time.
So there are five little gems that I've either been sitting on or stumbled upon recently. If time and Tom allows, I may take another crack at exploring Newgrounds for even more elusive gems; but I doubt my own resolve in this matter.
