good job ironically fucking up a grammar lesson. way to let one harmless typo go there, Adolf.

we need more anti-hero movies. i want to see Transmetropolitan made into a movie. Spider Jerusalem would be an awesome character for the big screen- drinking, drugging, cursing, slinging insults with a short temper. it would be absolutely excellent if they did it right.

Kind of off-topic, but I was thinking about picking up Watchmen. Is that a good graphic novel or should I just pass on it.

It's all right, but don't pick it up if you're looking for a lot of action. It's pretty story-driven.

I doubt they could. Which Blue Beetle do you think'd be best for them to make a movie on? Dan Garrett, the first Blue Beetle, would probably be the easiest to do, since no one preceeded him and they wouldn't have to change any of his background in order to make him. Ted Kord would be really cool to see, but they'd probably change his history so that they wouldn't have to go into Dan's time as the Blue Beetle. Also, the average non-comic reader would probably just consider him a knock-off of Batman. Jamie'd be really cool to see, since he's got a good amount of characterization and his powers are more showy than the other two, but again, they'd probably change his backstory in order to start the movie fresh.

Oh my god! I thought i was the only one reading that comic... I love Spider Jerusalem, and i support a movie over the comics. Transmetropolitian would make an awesome comic movie, with all the dark humor and drugs. But if i would be made to a movie... Who should play Spider? And the filthy assistans?

HBO is working on a TV show for it. A TV show really makes more sense for a book with that much journey and progression in it. Leaving a cliffhanger for another movie two years later would completly ruin the dramatic flow.

As for Blue Beetle, Ted Kord would be the most marketable. He's current, he'd be a good excuse for the gadgets they streamlined away from Batman and the visual of hanging from a rope on a giant flying beetle would kick ass.
There's no need to weigh it down in origion. Just have him come home after a hard night and flashback to taking the role up. Explaining away that the world has super heroes is where too many super hero movies are weighed down. The Incredible Hulk disposed of it in the title sequence.

...how about Mega Man?

Sounds a bit childish, I know, but...what if it were done right? Kick-ass special effects, good actors, decent storyline, good script?

I think the result would be pretty sweet.

So long as they don't overdo it with the power-absobtion thing.

Pure awesomeness. You must read it.
