Lightspeed Champion really relaxes me a lot, I'm actually listening to them right now and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Some others too.

Usually just something acoustic, or some really bluesy stuff.

I tend to go with more of the post-rock/instrumental music when I need to relax, such as This Will Destroy You, Explosions in the Sky, 65DaysofStatic, If These Trees Could Talk... etc etc.

Oh, then there's also Elliott Smith and a few songs from Astronautalis which help as well.

To relax, I usually listen to Grateful Dead, Phish, The Beatles, String Cheese Incident, Steve Miller Band, or Assemblage 23.

Dream Theatre, Amon Amarth or Avenged Sevenfold.

That's about it, really

i like to listen to meditation music like the wooden flute from the Native Americans or the table guitar from the Japanese or sounds of nature to wind down and of course smoke a bowl or 2 while playing mobsters on myspace

When I need to relax I like to listen to Joshua Radin, My Morning Jacket, Guillemots or Magnet.

I listen to Massive Attack to chill out. Teardrop is like a lullaby for me.

Bands like, Shape of Depair, Saturnus, Agalloch, Darkspace and Ulver.

rock and metal music...yeah that relaxes me

Songs that have a good beat and melody.
But not classical. That's sucky.
I listen to, actually i don't know what kind of genre of music i listen to, it's pretty mixed up.

Thievery Corporation, John Coltrane, Jaga Jazzist, some roots reggae and more smooth hip-hop.

Also, punk can be oddly calming at times.

I find it to be pretentious drivel that you would expect to hear in Costa 99% of the time. Piano/acoustic guitar and slow tempo!=calming.
