Liverpool's game last was good and I am very pleased with the result especially when we had no Gerrard, Torres, Agger, Reina and Kuyt which shows some depth to the squad.

Wow, Werder Bremen made it to the UEFA Cup... they played a horrible Champion's League and I guess they will get kicked out of the UEFA Cup pretty quickly.

I hope Bayern wins against Lyon today. That would be great. :)

Bruno Alves just scored for FC Porto against Arsenal FC at the Estádio do Dragão. I used to be a Porto supporter, so i still have some nerve terminations that twitch when they score. Still far from the word "payback", though; they'll need 3 more for that.

So next week is the second knock out round-half. Some surprise has passed and unpredictability is sure to come.

Do you think Club Atlético is pressing all on on denting Barca in La Liga, or is it worth the effort for them to diminish the club that once held and paved the way for the best player in the world?

Will Lyon vanquish the egotistical Barcelona at their home, or will Messi and Henry shine at their own palace?

Can Arsenal hold off Roma away, or are injuries enough to crush the spirits of the fans? Will Totti be the hero?

Can Inter defeat the scum(sorry, needed to be said.) Or will ManU look to be new 'invincibles' and win all the silverware attainable?[actually that will never happen, or we will all go to hell]

Can Real bounce back after their loss at home, or is Anfield too hearty a place for the spirits of the Reds to be damped at all?

Will Juve take their home advantage and account for the placement of[at least one] English team off of the board for the UEFA management? Or can Chelsea use their solid players and hold tight to their advantage?

Are Villarreal and Panathinaikos underdogs with the most neutral friendly fixture? Or are Goals of the year to come from that match?

Is anybody going to watch Bayern?

Take your pick and explain to us who you think will be Europe's crown. And remember, not even scum can clench that title two years in a row.

Inter had better fucking win. Although I doubt it, I remain hopeful.

I'm predicting an early Barca exit. They seem to be imploding.

Fail.

They're back to raping La Liga now as well.

As much as I agree with this last comment, did you get the rest off ESPN? 'Is Anfield too hearty a place...', it's not a village pub, mate.

Liverpool's display against Real Madrid was very convincing, showed their true spirit. If they keep going like that with consistence then they'll win if for sure.

Goddamnit.

A.S. Roma fan here.

We played a great game, all things considered...just wasn't QUITE enough.

We were missing several key players (go figure)...De Rossi, Mexes and Panucci probably would have made a difference out there. The players that WERE playing were mostly recuperating from past injuries (like Pizarro).

Nonetheless, almost every single player out there did quite well, including the newest additions, such as Diamoutene and Motta. Riise played the best game he's every played on our team (possibly because he's used to the English style of soccer), and saved our asses more than once. Doni played admirably as usual.

Totti...goddamn, he's ALWAYS got some physical issue to worry about. His knee is acting up a lot lately, but he still made some key passes.

Anyhow, like I said, ALMOST won the game...unfortunately, Vucinic messed up in the shoot-outs, which ultimately led to defeat.

Fuck it, great game. Just not quite lucky enough...we had to score 2-0, and we only got 1-0 in th end.

Good job Arsenal. You guys played a good game as well.

Guess that's it for Italy, as far as the Champions League goes.

Pure awesomeness. You must read it.

uggh Chelsea-Liverpool yet again! 5th successive year they've met in the CL =O

It'll probably go to penalties and Reina will save everything because he's a freak =\

I have a good feeling for Liverpool, Chelsea isn't doing very well - And of course, no more Riise ;].
Barcelona - Bayern is going to be an awesome game too.

But i really hoped United and Barca will meet in the finals this year, not gonna happen.
