PM me all of the details, so I can try and replicate the issue. I did double check all of that stuff, but something could have slipped through, I suppose.

otherwise its really annoying to go through ALL music credits and ALL artist credits and type a 1 in for everything to save changes >=(

We prefer to have people make this decision up front for their submissions, because ultimately there could be more revenue than just Flash ads (prizes being the first example).

So I guess the "Tutorial" category should get brushed off completely as a no?

Wow, I really like the new features, particularly the "contribution" feature. It came as a bit of a surprise to me, I must say. I'll be sure to use it.

And upon looking at the Flash Submit page, I see there's a couple more features... non-credited authors... contributions... and tags?! Damn, we've been in need of tags for a while. Awesome job, Tom!

I'd love to hear from you. :3 | E-Mail: evansweeney@gmx.com | AIM: EvantheDeku

I would like to have a place where I can put an acknowledgement to someone, but it says I can only do that if I give them some of my revenue, but I don't run flash ads therefore I get some revenue.

I mean to use this for things like sprite animations where one uses someone elses art for their own animation.

Very useful, I always wondered what Stamper did for KFED Dancing With Fire.

That would be nice, but when I use flash ads and get my 50 cents, I will gladly split it with the person who did the art.

Or maybe learn how to draw...

For my next trick, I will need a condom and a volunteer.

INFORMATIVE should be a genre

I know I already said this, but I don't think anyone noticed.

I invented the "Informative" genre. Its better than having to call your flash "Educational." Who the hell wants to be educated on Newgrounds?

I suggest a "Spam" genre. And i'm guessing there will be a search by genre option? search by title and author alone is not always enough to get me where i'm going.

and by search by genre, i mean search within a genre :)

Alright, I changed EDUCATIONAL to INFORMATIVE... This is under MOVIES.

I added TUTORIAL as a category for games... Tutorials are generally classified as "GAMES / INTERACTIVE" when submitted.

Awesome!

But I think it'd be more help if you made the Genre visible upon scrolling over it in the flash portal.

For now we just want to collect / adjust / refine that information... Eventually it will become more useful.

Okay, my thoughts on these new features so far, using one of my own submissions as an example;

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/37 5163

It's nice to tell people who did what, but I think people who did the same thing could be listed together under their own category, instead of having seperate titles. Like, uh, instead of "Sponsor StoreSanderKit" and "Sponsor TheStarSyndicate" it could say "Sponsor(s): StoreSanderKit & The StarSyndicate", listed of course.

Also, while the inclusion of user icons is nice and all, it gets very crowded when you have a lot of co-authors. Sure, I could ditch TheStarSyndicate, StoreSanderKit and Sinitronic in this particular case since, well, none of them really do anything, but when you have a lot of legit co-authors it's still a huge mess. If you get what I'm saying.

Feedback is good, right?

Have you ever though of rearranging the Audio Portal so it's actually easy to find music that suits your game? Instead of organizing it into the usual genres of blues, rock, metal, electronic, etc.. it should be organized into categories like dark, happy, mellow, soothing, etc.. So you can find a song that really fits.. That would just make it easier imo

And now I'll be forced to make an icon :c

I love the updates Tom.
While you're at TGS you should drop a line to G4 and talk about Castle Crashers, I'd love to see you, the rest of the crew at TGS, and the game on G4s coverage of TGS.

P.S. Any information about what/when we are getting the account type thingy on the bottom of the page?
