So I don't know if y'all have seen the katie couric sarah palin interviews but you should go youtube them. It might just be me but their sort of painfull to watch. Well anyway now there is this video of a joint interview of both McCain and Palin.
I mean seriously they're like a nervous couple trying to get a loan at a bank. It's sad and depressing and makes me fear for America. That might just be me though, what do you guys think?

Palin is not someone you would consider "good" at interviews.

They really have to spend 10 minutes trying to pretend like it didn't happen?

Meh, people can still lead well without knowing how to handle the media.

Though, you should see the effects of McCain leaving Letterman's show. Letterman, who's always been supportive of McCain, now all of a sudden starts flaming the guy. Not looking good at all.

This isnt about being able to handle the media this is about how she crumbled under pressure in that interview and how little knowlodge of foreign affairs she displayed.

All of which are telltale signs of stagefright. I can't blame her - going into the international spotlight after living in a state with one of the lowest population densities in the union would be an intimidating experience.

Letterman is a pretty far left liberal and Democrat supporter. There's no question of that. He never supported McCain, he just didn't have as much incentive to display his bias as he does now.
I have not heard a single negative thing about Obama in the last few weeks in the media. I have not heard a single positive thing about McCain either. Talk shows, TV news, radio... across the board, all glorifying Obama, all condemning and berating McCain. I'm sure if I watched FOX news it would be different... but come on. Is ANYONE under the illusion that the media isn't HEAVILY slanted in Obama's favor? If you say no you're either dumb or you're a liar, there's no way around that.
The Democrats have been getting a complete pass in the entire financial crisis issue too. Not a single instance of the news addressing the fact that it was DEMOCRATS, not Republicans, that blocked regulation against GSEs like Freddie and Fannie. It's obvious that people are trying to engineer a Democrat victory in November by deliberate distortion of the news, even when covering it light heartedy (see: maliciously) in late night talk shows like Letterman.
With that said, I really do think that Palin is a horrible speaker. I admit that she sucks at answering questions and the thought of her becoming president is a bit scary because, well, she's dumb. I really, really wish that McCain picked someone else, like Romney or even Huckabee. Still, Palin hasn't been given fair coverage by the media, and this would be true even if she was a flawless, persuasive debater who answered everything perfectly. Even before it came to our attention that she can't answer questions worth shit, people were throwing all kinds of stones at her left and right, and this wouldn't have been the case if she was a Democrat.
Yay, Obama won. Let's thank his supporters:

I know plenty of Democrats that are bimbo, gun-grabbing hippies with strong anti-American agenda and they receive nothing but songs of praise.

i read through the threads quickly, if you KNOW of such a person, i don't see what's so unreasonable about giving that persons name. Usually i ask you to 'prove it' because i assume you can. If you cant then you [or anyone else in the same situation] should rethink why they feel a certain way.

Um.
Nancy Pelosi.
Then take out the "Bimbo" and you'd get Barack Obama (really then, like 80% of congressional democrats)
Usually i ask you to 'prove it' because i assume you can.
If you consider anti-2nd Amendment (i.e. anti-constitution) to be anti-American, then all I'd have to do really is compare his record to this Supreme Court ruling.

It's all he has going for him now. He talks a lot of shit from the sideline, yet runs away from every argument with me about economics. It's pretty funny though.

well firstly theres no such thing as a "gun grabbing hippie" hippies believe in peace not guns, and how are hippies anti American?
secondly the reason that everyones being so mean to Palin is because she's had 2 epic fails(that i know of) at this point in time like saying that she has foreign policy experience by being close to Russia but not actually interacting with the Russian government. it probably would have just been far better for Palin to just have said "i don't really have foreign policy experience but i can learn" rather than just pulling that lie out of her ass

Everything in America has always been orchestrated.
We faked the reasons for WWI.
We let pearl harbor happen.
We prolonged vietnam intentionally phony missions and hardcore drugs.
Banks intentionally caused the first great depression.
Now we give the wheel a spin again, cellar.
And, by the way, people make fun of her because she says stupid shit.
Now, this is a person who has become elected.
This is her career.

LMAO, that is a perfect description. I don't remember ever seeing a presidential candidate looking nervous as John did in that video. That and he gets offensive right away with his "gotcha journalism" comment. Considering the president has such a public job, maybe the republican party can pick someone who is even remotely capable of talking to the media. They make for good humor on YouTube, but I don't think it does much for the party.
Injured Workers rights were taken away in the 1920's by an insurance company (WCB), it's high time we got them back.

Well Mccain does have a history you know.
Though it is apparent that "connecting with the people" doesnt mean much in interviews that millions of "the people" are watching.

Um... "gun grabbing" means taking away guns from other people. Democrats almost universally oppose gun rights and almost universally support gun bans.

First off, you know it's true that every time the facts come out, or when you're asked to reconcile your argument with the facts, you tend to run away. Then you do what you're doing now and you quote things I didn't even say, and make satirical arguments that intentionally misrepresent my position.
You're never able to justify your single-minded, almost fiendish devotion to bashing the US economy, given the situation in other countries including yours. You're never able to respond when confronted with the fact that financial/economic problems are worldwide right now, and in many countries, far worse than what exists in the US. You can't even address it, nor do you want to, because that would force you to reassess and possibly compromise your mind-bogglingly hypocritical anti-American world view.
"Bailout.. err Rescue.. err.. Anti-Dote.."
Tell us all what country you're from, then tell us why you feel like have ANY grounds to bash the US economy for its current problems. Go ahead. Don't run away and talk trash in some other thread this time.
