One of my friends, whom I have known was a pot smoker for a while now, invited me and one of our friends over and I told him I'd smoke weed with him. Me, being someone who has never smoked pot before, am kind of nervouse about this because my parents have made it clear with me that I'd be forced to pay for rent and food if they caught me doing drugs.
So newgrounds, if I smoke pot, will the smell be very noticable on me and my clothes?

Yeah dude. Don't make the mistake of trying it. The smell will cling onto you. Besides, if you want to know the truth, some old friends who used to smoke the jane said that it's seriously overrated and not even worth smoking in the first place. Just thought I'd put those two cents in, aight?

As far is "Is weed bad?" Meh, it's not so great. but once in a while it's not horrible. Personally, it's not my thing.
and can you smell it?
THC is fat suitable, ever wonder why bongs use water? That means that it can stay in your system (although not at doses to make you high) for weeks.
It also means that after smoking it your sweat (and in high enough amounts) and hair can smell like weed for days, or longer.

not sure whether or not to believe if this is a joke thread or not judging by some of these responses...
it will smell pretty strong at first but weed smoke doesn't cling the way, say, cigarette smoke does. if you air yourself out and give yourself enough time to straighten out, you'll be fine. just try to avoid blowing smoke on yourself and if possible, spray some cologne or something on afterwards but don't overdo it. biggest thing is just airing yourself out. you could even ask the kids your smoking with for a sweatshirt to borrow and maybe a hat to cover the smell on your own clothes and hair.

As people said, it's noticeable, although I think some of them exaggerated, I mean, you can smell it after several weeks.
If you're too worried about it, you can wash the clothes by yourself, or as TheDepthsofHell just said, you can also spray some cologne on them.
Also, I now this thread isn't about this, but I think you shouldn't start smoking weed just because your friends do.

Yeah, so what you do is just put some body spray on yourself or cologne. And have a mint or some gum as well, because it'll be on your breath. I hope this is good advice. =)

Oh, yes. Don't do it. The smell is quite distinctive and is easy to detect after a good 10 HOURS. You probably wont get away with it

Im here to tell you, everyone here does not know what they are talking about. I smoked weed everyday, and it does not stick to your clothes, at all. If you smoke outside, you literally have nothing to worry about. I have smoked outside and come home 20 minutes later chewing gun and I used eyedrops. It does not stick on your clothes like a cigarette. Ive even smoked in my room, in my bathroom and in my garage multiple times and my parents did not notice when they would come home 45 minutes later. Shit, ive smoked WHILE they were home. You just gotta be a little careful. It is NOT over-rated and being stoned fucking rules. Acting sober around your parents is really easy, just dont go home with crazy red eye. Remember this, no one cares if you smoked weed, and it does not make you cool. Nothing worse then people who think it does.

Nah, I've smoked up plenty and never had it stick on me. I've even had somebody blow smoke right into my hoodie and nothing. Just make sure you do it outside, and if you're really paranoid, blow straight up. You will cough the first time, and that's going to make a big cloud to get all over your clothes.

Weed shouldn't make you smell at all if you smoke it outside. And if you're not, or if it somehow does somehow stink, the scent will linger for 20 minutes at most.

Smoke, by nature, gets its scent into clothes and fabrics. Much similar to standing next to a bonfire all night.
As for marijuana, I wouldn't know - I've never done it, and never will. Logically, though, if it creates proportionally less smoke it shouldn't be too detectable after a while.
Still, don't do drugs. It's bad.

No not really, when smoking it, it does smell, not on yourself but the 'joint' itself. It does not linger on your clothes.

I found that if you smoke outside and then stay outside for a good ten minutes you can't really smell it on clothes. Sticks to your hands for ages though, especially if you roll it.
There is nothing you can name that is more delicious and awesome than Subway. I run on Mountain Dew.
