i don't know why, but i was watching the fox and the hound one day, and at the part where she has to leave him in the forest, i just burst into tears.i still don't know why.it hasn't happened since.
The saddest had to be when Lil thought Phil died on The Rugrats Movie.
Also when Tommy was sent of alone to find his brother, his friends left him, it was so sad.

Dang, I'm glad I'm not the only one who was hit hard by Elfen Lied.
I didn't cry, but when the final credits rolled I was glad they didn't use the usual closing music, only silence. I needed the silence to take it all in. The end of that series was like a blow upside the head.
By the last three episodes I had come to love Lucy. Crazy isn't it? She was a vicious psychopath, but I could understand how she came to be that way. I felt very sorry for her. She was pathetic.

I know of the saddest cartoon ever... like ok if the toughest meanest state penitentiary butt rape king watched this, he too would cry like a little baby.
The little match girl... is so... fucking.... sad. For those of you who havent seen it, its about this little homeless/motherless girl in russia. Its in the dead of winter and she has no money for food or clothing, and shes walking around barefoot in the snow trying to sell matches to people because its the only thing she has. No one will help her and no one will buy her matches so she goes into a dark ally way and lights a match to stay warm, and every time she lights a match she has a flashback to happier days. Anyway, during the flashbacks, the viewer learns that her parents are dead and she is completely alone in the world. She dreams about food and laying by a warm fire and just being happy again. After the last match is gone she dreams about christmas and her family... then she dies alone in the cold snow filled ally, starved and frozen to death. ITS REALLY SAD
