Im in art major but we're only going to study practical art next year and ofcourse my simple sketches and drawings wont do for this calendar so I was hoping for trying next year.. So will there be more of these?

It's a spoof of the flash called "B" made by Strawberry Clock.

It's hard to tell in the low res image, but there is actually a great load of detail in there. The texture in the B is enhanced, and there are mutliple other Bs in the background,a s well as background imaging.

It appears very simple at first, but as you look at it, it becomes more complex. I was thinking of adding more, but I don't want to clutter it. I intended it to have that simple nature, but with hidden meaning.

I had an awesome idea concerning screen captures and such, and I got halfway before I realized it was stupid and I stopped. I will do something hand drawn if I can figure out how to ensure high resolution.

If this is still going, I'm gonna enter.

Are we allowed to put trade marks on ours? Would it effect the true visual of our creations? I'm just scared someone will steal my art and post it in the next 1 billionth youtube tribute video where there is some corny emo music playing and 20 minutes of pictures related to the main subject in the video, switching every 20 seconds.

If you feel you must. Just make sure it's not too intrusive or it could be off-putting/distracting when judging!

Actually, what you could do is post the pic here on NG with as big a watermark as you want, then when they ask you for your piece if you win, send them the hi res version without the watermark-I think you can trust the NG staff to not ripp you off. (Just remind them that it is a temporary watermark)

Oh I know, I already had in mind; to give the finish version when/if they ask me for it, I obviously trust them. I was just more concerned about watermarking the preview on the forums because as mentioned before, some can be snotty.

The left arm looks a little goofy at the shoulder. But maybe I'm just retarded.

I added some fancy little details to mine and cleaned some stuff up, but I don't want to have them delete my initial post in the art thread and shit so I can replace it with essentially the same thing. I think I'll just hold onto it in case I place, and be able to send in an even better one than what is shown.

lol, I'm glad you got it. I'm working on drawing it again; larger and whatnot, and with a better background of course. Is it good or bad, I generally don't draw, but this contest seemed fun. =P

I wanted to go ahead and post my work in progress - it's almost done, I think, so I feel okay posting it.

Anyway, I'm going to make a prediction that this is the only which features the characters from the "Another Day" series. I'm a bit conflicted about it - the series probably isn't the most representative of Newgrounds, but, it was one of the first flash cartoons I ever watched on here, and it's really been a series that has been consistently good and continues to improve as it goes along - so, I think it deserves to be represented along with everything else here.

So, yeah, my basic idea was to try and depict the fact that Blue Rabbit doesn't exactly look like he should be sitting alongside things like Pico and Burnt Face Man. So, I put Blue Rabbit into a gritty setting that would probably be a little more visually interesting to the average Newgrounds user, and...I think it works fairly well. I don't know. Plus, I got to put a bunch of other Newgrounds characters in as graffiti art - I think all the following series are represented: Dad 'n Me, Alien Hominid, Foamy, I Love Egg, Xombie, Pico, Salad Fingers, Cloud Jumper, On the Moon, Eskimo Bob...and Madness.

Here's the big picture, and I'm going to post some detail shots also.
