Do we need to ask permission before we use anyone's character or we can use any character from NG?

Just use any character, but I suggest using a fairly popular one, as it'll be more likely to be chosen.

I'm going to assume you can have more than one character as long as they are part of the same cartoon.

E.G. I'm using Burnt Face Man with Bastard Man in the background.

Yes, it should have some relevance to newgrounds. Like... don't do a portrait of your grandma! You may be able to perfectly capture the youthful exuberance of her Poligrip smile, but unless she's a well-known user on this site... no one is gonna care.

...because this is a printed piece that is being sold, copyright issues can come into play. If you can get permission, please do!! But if it's something ng based (tankmen, penicorns), then it's not an issue. Submissions that include things like Mario or MGS characters will most likely get passed by in judging. So keep that in mind!

Doesn't have to be limited to one...at all!! Squeeze in (or out) as many as you want! As long as you draw them all yourself and it's more than just a straight, boring line-up of characters! (lol... that would actually be kinda funny, a police line-up of ng characters! Someone should do that! :P)

I enjoy making things with photoshop but im not great with drawing things on my own yet. In regards to the newgrounds characters, are we allowed to take pre-existing images (for example, the artists own interpretations of them) or should we recreate them ourselves?

This is probably a dumb question.

How explicit can these images be? Like violence and nudity wise?

That's actually a good question! :P I can pretty much guarantee that a pic made up of other peoples pre-existing art will receive less (if any) consideration than one that's created from scratch.

I'd kinda like to be able to hang one up at work, so if we could keep it PG-13-ish, that would be nice (but this is newgrounds after all, so that might be asking a lot! lol). Odds are, anything excessively violent or offensive won't be selected.

Looks good, a solid idea.
Just a suggestion on how to draw it, I reckon it'd be easier and look better if you made his head in full, then made it translucent. Place a radial gradient on there for good measure, if you like, too.

I'd keep the star, but, I think Bastard Man's neck and head need to be tilted back more to be consistent with the direction which the punch is coming from.

I was thinking of coloring it before I submit it. Any suggestions to make it better?
