OMG YES!!! IT'S DONE!! FINALLY. So much damn headache when into making this. I didn't know how to correctly resize it, So, what I finally decided to do is screen cap the entire damn image. It took me a while, but I put everything right down to the exact pixel in it's place. Enjoy. I'm sorry for the previous post, but, I thought the deadline was yesterday..

the .FLA IS 2880 x 2134,
but when i export it says 2885 on wide.

what do i do?

so many worthy entries, i hope that they continue having fan-created calendars.

i'm so demoralized about my chances, but its worth it for the four (is that too generous?) people that appreciated my entries.

i knew the exposed genitalia in my art will always be the crux of how it's accepted. its so hard for me to understand.......

How would we decide what went into each (and the cost would change because it's printing 2 original files, not just a bunch of one). I'd love to be able to fit everybody's pic in the calendar, but... then it wouldn't be a contest, now would it :P

The way I did it was to make a box the size of the desired result.
For instance, draw a box and stretch it out to be 3225 x 2400 px.

As for that spanish box, if you can find the one that says "Minimum image area" in spanish, then it'll include EVERYTHING you drew, so it can be bigger than 2880 px if the actual image is bigger than that. I think you've got the option already set.

Well don't feel too down; I think you had two of the best entries in the contest.

And yeah, I can't even tell people how nice it was to just get a few positive comments about my work - I think everybody was just so caught up in trying to get their own entries finished that it was really hard to comment on all the stuff that was being posted.

Well, I don't know if it's the exposed genitalia per se, it's more that about 10 pages ago, ReNaeNae had asked us to try and keep the images PG-13 so that people could hang the calendars up at a workplace if they wanted to.

We definitely have enough for about 3, but offering people 2 different versions of an 09 NG calendar would be interesting and give people an option.

man, there are a lot of entries, and alot of good ones...it would be a shame that the ones that didnt make it just go to waste.
maybe not in a calendar, but another option?

That's why I had to do 20 or so screen calptures... It took me 4 hours, I believe.. I'm glad I didn't wait for an answer, because I'd be screwed right now.. Sorry, man.. You can try to resise it, but you don't have much time.

Yeah...it probably should have been included in the original contest rules, but, I know they were trying to give people as much freedom as possible.

I actually went back and added Nachos to the picture at the last minute, and submit it when it was finished. I kept tweaking it and tweaking it and tweaking it but gave up when the deadline was near.

Yes, I feel accomplished by entering, lol.. I didn't know I could do Hank so well. But, after I finished, it was all worth it. I really didn't think Stanford was coming along well, that's why Deimos didn't get drawn.. He had wayy too much stuff on his head, and I didn't feel like drawing all of that, so, I said forget it. It would have been hard for me, considering the style I draw.

There are no outlines, and things that are the same color on a character (like Hanks bandages) have to be given multiple colors to tell them apart. Hank was easy with the bandages, Stanford was.. so-so.. and Deimos was WTF?!

I also thought about how if I'm going to put 5, or 6 colors for Deimos' bandages, how was I going to keep the hat, and headphones at an appropriate contrast? Can't do it without changing something.

Because I constantly forget to say some things.. I'll say it now. Eventhough the image I posted before is 75 DPI, I do have a 300 DPI image.. I'll give it away apon request.

I don't think I would have chosen more than one Tankmen themed entry, but that's just me.

Here's my personal picks.

I got home from work and the contest had already ended (as had the debate) so I know my work stands as it is, but for my own peace of mind I'm going to continue to work on it.

Soooo.... How's the smoke look now. It's still thick, but I think it's getting to look more realistic.

Are you able to blur the edges of it, a bit? At the moment it looks rather like a trail of goo.

Also, I don't really get what is with the lighting on the bottom of the smoke; where's the light for that coming from?

occluded the smoke is still very chunky look at where it hits, its done better at that end. the smoke dispenses and there thin layers of gray smoke which makes it look very light. the rest of the smoke trail is very thick and solid doesn't look like smoke at all.

I think it'd help ReNaeNae alot if you guys made a list of your favourites, think of all the hard decisions she has to make! D:
