oh my god i completely changed my idea from yesterday's thing i posted, just starting my new idea holy shit doubt i can make deadline but i'll have a cool illustration either way AHHHH

I'm up to 10 MS paint screen calptures since I didn't know how to properly resize it. I'm almost half way done, and I can't wait to show you all the finished picture.. It's even more awesome then before!

Ok, overall I'm happy with the pic. I spent a lot of time working on this piece, and worked very hard, especially on Bitey himself. Comments and critisism welcome.

It looks good to me - I like the expansive landscape - a lot of the entries look a bit cramped, so it's nice to see some wide open spaces. That being said, my one criticism would be that with just Bitey standing there, the pic looks a bit empty.

A friend of mine photoshopped the pic a bit, fixed some shadows and added pretty jerry jackson eyes :3

I had noticed - but, I assumed he was working on it - he did post a wip a while back - I'm sure he's just gonna take it up to the last minute, as a lot of other people are.

On a related note, I know ReNaeNae said that if entries were a few minutes late, then that would be okay (which seems fair), but I hope it doesn't go much farther than that, because a lot of people did work really hard to try and get this in by the deadline, and it's really not fair to them to have to compete with people who didn't make the deadline.

Looks good! Very, very different from your original draft, but I like it. I think the rendition of Bitey is way more interesting, although I think I liked the original composition better, particularly the choice of colors. But good job, especially given the last minute notice you got of the contest.

when its at 100%, i can only see like a hand and some body, but when i clic show everything, well its smaller..

any suggestions?

threadwood's is really really tight looking, but I think you could have pushed it a lot further.

like for example add some leaves on the trees or ground and some floating in the air, some trees in the distant, some small detail in the grass, some flowers maybe, small animals, etc. I just think you could have made it sooo much better, but I really enjoyed the style.

I absolutely agree with everything you've said here. Had I given myself more time, you can bet this thing'd be chock full of leaves, grass, flowers, plants, rocks, etc etc. Thanks for liking it anyways.

Did you create your file at 2880 x 2143? If so, you should be able to export as a jpg, full doc size ...is that what you mean? Or am I not understanding your question?! lol

Awesome, AWESOME stuff has been submitted! Gonna be a challenge to narrow it down to twelve!! YOU GUYS KICK ASS!!!!! I'm not sure when we'll announce the winners yet... but it will probably be fairly soon (by soon, I mean a few days, not hours :P). We'll need to collect the high res files and get everything wrapped up so we can cart it off to the printer.

Just under 90 minutes left!! Good luck to anyone still trying to make it!!

...as for the 'told you so' dance... that will have to wait until every last printed calendar is sold ... I've got my dancing shoes at the ready!! :D

It would be sweet, when ordering your calender if we could select from a pool of artwork/images and assign it to whatever month we wish, maybe through the use of over-sized stickers? Yeahhh... probably too costly. Well, good luck to all the participants.

lol! I was actually just thinking about that the other day. I work for a printing company, and we offer that service. Not sure what the price difference would be, but I can look into it. If it's comparable, maybe we could do it that way next year! ;)

Why not print (breathe in) TWO (breathe out) calendars? =3 Mix up all the styles in each =3
