Damn, this club has seen better activity. Hope it'll pick up the pace again soon.

And I still don't know if I'm a member here yet or not, since no one answered if I could join.

On the topic of Star Wars, however, what does everyone think about the upcoming MMO, The Old Republic? Good idea? Bad idea? Interested at all in getting it?

Hey, I was thinking about this, Darth Sidious is a Sith Lord, so is Darth Vader
but as Maul and Tyrannus never were Masters, they cannot be Sith Lords right?

An MMO ? An MMO what?
RPG ? FPS ?

I have played the first two games of Star Wars : Knights Of The Old Republic
and I must say that they were so fucking awesome, I would really like to get a third title for that serie.
Bioware really did something nice with the Star Wars universe. I really liked the story about all the older Sith Lords, the stories heard in the valley of the sith lords was so fucking great !!!

My brother is trying to find Super Star Wars for our old SNES, on eBay.
Any of you guys got this game?
how is it?

Apprentices both of them.
well Darth Vader as well, until the added The Force Unleashed to the story cannon, now I'm not really sure what he might be.

Well as far as I can remember, anyone could join, as long as they give a Star Wars name, name that you'll never use, but still...

Well, I'm not really interested in it, since there wouldn't be any story in it, well not an interesting one to say the least, and I won't be able to be amazed with how it all connects with all the stuff I know about the old republic, and that's kinda what made KOTOR II so awesome to me :)

I'd be interested in a KOTOR where the cannon turnout would be choosing the dark side for once...
We all know that's way more fun to play.

Well, Sidious in the original trilogy, when talking about Anakin was always calling him "Lord Vader"
So that's what making me think that he, even if he's the apprentice of Sidious, would still be a Sith Lord.

Nah, that would totally destroy the whole concept of KOTOR, which is actually to "CHOOSE" your path.
And as Master Yoda once said "The dark side is more appealing, but not more powerful."

In KOTOR, it was awesome to have a Sith Consular, because the Force Powers were just so fucking awesome. FORCE CRUSH !!! FORCE STORM !!! FORCE CHOKE !!!

but it was just awesome to have a Jedi Guardian with one lightsaber or two. I made a fucking beast machine once, light side of the force :)

But it would be cool to have a KOTOR game, in which you wouldn't start in the team of the good guys, but instead, you would start as a dark side apprentice or something, and you would have to choose your path during the game.

Aww, my loving dying club :) lol. I see it's still moderately active. I was hoping it wasn't gone by now, it has been two years since I started this club. Sorry about the absences, but that thing called life got in the way :P I'm almost done college (Office Administration- learning software, etc)

You all seen FanBoys? Wonderful movie! Star Wars fans should love it. A bit lame with certain jokes, but some jokes are just worth the time to watch this movie. I loved it, what about everyone else?

The title of "Sith Lord" isn't exactly all that defined our explicit, but...yes, I guess you could say that.

It didn't used to be necessary for a Sith to be the leader of the entire order, to obtain the title of "Sith Lord"...but then the Rule of Two came around, and things changed.

Tyrannus was certainly well past the level of Sith Adept or Sith Warrior, but not quite a Sith Lord. Perhaps, if he had lived in the pre-Bane era, he would have been the equivalent of a Lord, but he couldn't technically be one in his own time because of the Rule of Two.

So TECHNICALLY, Vader isn't a Sith Lord either. But it's hard to imagine a more striking symbol of the Sith Lords.

I guess it's up to you.

Maul sure as hell wasn't a "Lord", though. I mean, I'm a huge fan of the guy and everything, since he's a Sith because he honestly believes that the Jedi are corrupt and deserve to be purged from the Galaxy (instead of being just a common dick who wants to rule for the sake of power, like Sidious). Plus, he's got mad lightsaber skills and teras-kasi techniques.

But the sheer amount of control over the Force that he had was not enough to classify him as a Lord. He would have never prevailed against Sidious, had the time come for him to take on his Master.

Pure awesomeness. You must read it.

Hey guys. I just finished watching the main 6 Star Wars movies.

I had never given them a chance before, so after many people trying to persuade me to watch them, i finally did. I watched all six of them over the course of this last week, and in the order the story tells (starting with Episode 1 and ending with The Return of the Jedi). I have to say I really enjoyed them.

It's hard to say which is the best of them all, but i'm guessing a good 90% of all Star Wars fans will say it's one of the older ones.

I'm up for a chat about it, but go easy on me. I'm sure you lot are all die hard fans and know alot about it all - While i've always known the main story of Star Wars, I've only just watched them, so I'm no expert.

in choose your path type games, I'm just a natural light side person, even when I try to be dark side, the darkest I can bring myself to get to is the middle lol. I'm also replaying KOTOR 2, Im a Jedi Guardian turned Jedi Weapon Master. I'd like to see a KOTOR game where theres two storylines you can pick from; one that involves Revan, and one that involves the exile, preferably after the 2nd KOTOR, since I've been interested in what happens after that.

Oh no, after The Clone Wars movie there isn't a single doubt in my mind. George Lucas doesn't give a shit about his fans, or even about Star Wars. 1-3 is just Lucas making money and The Clone Wars is him trying to squeeze out the very last penny he can.

I have to admit though, I think Revenge of the Sith is a damn good film.

I'm currently working on animating some lasers into a live action video with a friend, even though he is really doing most of the work. We are using Adobe After Effects and it's really turning out well. As soon as it's over we are going to work on a much more serious movie where we not only have the lasers animated, but we are also going to include some matrix like slow motion scenes, a light saber fight, and using the force in a couple of parts.

I'll actually end up submitting it to newgrounds as my upload limit is 20 MB and it will have quite a bit of animation in it so when they are done I'll be sure to link them here so you star wars fans can check them out.

Figured I might show this here. These were a comission from a friend's mother for Christmas. As a serious SW fan myself, I had a lot of fun with them. I did them over a few days with a combination of fabric markers and acrylic paint. Tell me what you guys think.
