Programming time isn't necessarily proportional to the length or number of levels. And yeah you should better show something.
Once an overall engine is complete, then the programmer doesn't need to do it again for more levels. You should be able to use the same code for it. It's more to do with how complex the game is than how many levels there are.

I can program very well, building a game engine in AS is simple! But yea can we see a preview of the game, pic, video?
