CS4 sucked ass my friend said. yah flash 8 is the best. when Cs3 came out it was very dissapointing.

Can't wait for the trial to come out....Going to be playing around with the bone tool!

I know the upgrade is $199 dollars, but not sure if the upgrade price is for all versions of flash, but probably is the same for all versions.

There's about 5 things wrong with that statement.

1) Flashy interface = good.
2) Costs the same as CS3 did.

5) WTF? MX sucks for animating... CS4 has 3D, motion paths (advanced), filters, etc.

CS4 is sweet...I can only imagine what awesome animations people are going to make using those nice features in it. I think its worth it, so far. Sometimes cs3 gives me a headache....

Maybe cs3 wasn't improved much for your personal needs, but you can't say it's disappointing. AS3 is a lot better than AS2 which makes cs3 uber awesome

I have flach CS4 but I dont really like it.
Its not the same as the CS3 enviroment we all are use to.

No faice could express my emotion because.... I was happy (i got apple pie)
I was mad (i dropped a slice) and I was sad ( I couldn't eat the slice i dropped) so i couldn't put up happy, angry, and sad so I would have been lying to myself if I put angry or sad or happy.

well my point is from an animation perpesctive flash mx is as good as any other version

instead of focusing on bones and crappy animation based on tweening they should focus on better drawing tools :P

you must be joking man! cs3 was so much better than flash 8. as3 eats as2 for breakfast. But the thing that you can edit the different props keys and curves separately on a single animated object is a biiiiig step, if you ever used anything else for animation you would know, IK is extremly usefull and you can apply IK chains on shapes!! how cool is that?! bye bye lame shape tween which was unpredictable and often ugly. You can simply edit the trajectory of an animation, scale the animation itself that's pretty cool, I cant wait to grab a trial to play around

I'll get Flash CS4 whenever I get a new computer, but for now I'll just say I'm lovin' mah Flash 5, Flash MX 2004 and Flash 8 Professional, that are all installed to this computer the same time.

So I can use the nostalgic Flash 5 or the sweetie Flashie 8, oh yes!~

I've got CS3, and sure i want flash CS4, but ONLY because of the interface. I don't really care about the object based animation, or the bones tool(though it'd be nice). I just don't think it's worth another 200 bucks that i don't have.

Well your going to be waiting a while. I don't think AS4.0 is going to come out for a long time, though thats not to say AS3.0 is staying the same. They will extend AS3.0 by just adding new classes and extending old ones. Like they have done in CS4 with the lovley lovley Z axis added to the the display object.

Did they fix the bug that made it so when you selected a few pixels with the selection box, the whole thing disappeared?

Did they fix the bug that sometimes put the .swf under the panels when you exported and went into another program in the mean time?

Did they fix the bug when the color mixer wouldn't let you change something's color when there was something else above it?

Did they fix the bug where you changed something's size using the properties panel and it automatically added lines to it?

Did they fix the bug where using expand fill on a shape with a small hole in it, such as letters, would make a big deformed hole?

Etc.

Yeah that's both affordable and fair. But living in Denmark you suddenly have to pay 1140$. That's hardly fair.
