Figured I should post this up as well. This...probably needs an explanation. There's an Internet show called Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum which is similar to Mystery Science Theater 3000 in that it involves people watching movies and making commentary about the movies. Just imagine Mystery Science Theater but with a horror theme and guests.

Anyway, they had a contest a few weeks ago to draw the cast from the show in a carnival setting, and this is what I came up with. Not the best thing I've ever done, but, it was more than a little rushed too.

I wanted to post this up though because there's another art contest going on for the show right now. The theme is pretty simple: draw the cast of the show engaged in Halloween shenanigans. The prize? Nothing huge, a collector's toy from Full Moon Productions (the movie company that has been letting the show use a lot of their movies). Still, a pretty decent prize for pumping out a quick Halloween drawing.

So yeah, here's the contest thread:

http://www.thestream.tv/forum/viewtopic.
php?t=3733

And here's a link to the show's webpage as well:

http://www.docmock.com/

And there we have it. If you're reading this thread, you should enter the contest. The deadline is October 29. Winner gets bragging rights. DO IT!

Oh man, it's literally been years since the last time that I've posted here. But, I've been working on something so I suppose a little self-promotion is in order.

Anyway, what follows are a series of semi-related images.

I kind of wish I had used this stage curtain motif for more of the stuff that I was drawing. I suppose I still could.

This picture is so funny to me and it makes me think, "Awww, why didn't I try to tell a story about that?" Also, somehow I managed to give the guy with chainsaw hands a mask with a truly downtrodden expression.

This is actually one of my favorite things that I've drawn in awhile. I don't know that it makes any more sense in context.

Here's a panel from a comic I've been working on. Somebody told me it looks like a penguin with tentacles, which I guess it kind of does.

Thanks Template! I like your art too.

Oh and to big-jonny-13, it's nice to be back.

Anyway, here's another panel from my comic. I wasn't really thinking about it at the time, but now that I look back on it I realize that I just drew several panels of a naked angel straddling an extremely phallic-looking tentacle monster. I suppose that was bound to happen eventually though.

A couple more comic panels.

I got to use a brush when I was inking that second panel! I don't have a good brush for inking. I need to invest in a sable brush or something...

Another detail from a panel. There's dialogue cropped out of this one but I don't think anybody is reading it anyway.

I've never been that great with lettering, but I decided I wanted to design some custom titles for the stories I've been working on and I figured I'd post them here.

Unfortunately I had to send the most recent issue of my comic to the printers before I could include these titles in the layouts, but they'll be in the next one.

The second issue of my comic, Delirium, is on sale now and there's an exclusive preview of it here on Newgrounds:

So far I've been publishing it on a monthly basis (granted, only for two issues, but still) and I'm hoping that trend will continue at least in the near future.

In terms of content, the book is very much like the rest of the art I have on Newgrounds: strange, surreal, and a little bit sexy.

Here's a short product description for those interested:

Tentacle beasts and evil dolls guarding the entrance to a public library? Grisly experiments carried out by masked scientists as they search for the location of an ancient book that holds extraordinary power? Cute bunny monsters? These are just some of the sights you'll see when you enter the world of Delirium.

Issue two features the continuation of the ongoing stories "Kingdom of Monsters" and "G.E.R.L."

In "Kingdom of Monsters," Tehra and her guardian angel face off against supernatural opponents as they continue their search for the elusive grimoire called the Book of the Black Seal.

Meanwhile, G.E.R.L.'s story continues when she wakes up from cryostasis and must fight her way out of a laboratory filled with scientists, soldiers, and unfeeling computers that have her scheduled for a vivisection.

If that sounds like your kind of thing (and come on, you're on Newgrounds, this is your kind of thing) then you can click HERE to BUY a copy. The print run is limited so definitely grab yours now before it's gone because at the moment no reprints are planned.

If that's not enough strange and sexy action or you, copies of issue one are still available HERE.

And as always, you can watch my blog for updates on future issues:

http://deliriumcomix.blogspot.com/

So yeah, read the book that Newgrounds users are calling "compelling and sexy!" You know you want to.

Yikes!

Okay I totally butchered those urls. After all these years you'd think we've have a "Preview Post" button to avoid these situations, but I guess not.

Let's try it this way:

Hopefully that works and if it doesn't I apologize for double posting and generally making a mess.

Well here's another panel from the "Kingdom of Monsters" storyline that I'm currently drawing for issue 3 of my comic Delirium. It's funny, for about 5 minutes there when I was writing out Kingdom of Monsters it was supposed to be a serious, dark story, and I guess it still is in several respects, but I don't think I could write just straightforward serious dialogue to save my life.

And, I like it better that way. It's basically an action / horror comic that's an excuse for me to draw and do everything I could ever want to in a story. And so far it's been pretty fun. I am actually surprised that I have stuck with it this long, but issue 3 is already about 1/3 finished and I feel like I could keep writing and drawing this for forever, so, that's a good sign.

Well....I tried to think of the manliest thing I could draw that didn't involve putting chainsaw hands on a bear and that's what I came up with. So....um....welcome to the Overwhelming Masculinity Club big-jonny-13! It's just you, me and Jeremy Piven.

Are u drawing everyday? Your output is quite high.

Anyway cant say much more then i really REALLY like the fine line style you use. I tried to copy it but it didnt work out. Part of my latest entry still includes this a bit but its negligable.
