1kb challange

ok the average game on ng is somthing around 800KB...some of the top games on ng are around 5-9MB (1 MB = 1024KB)

so i wanted to set a challenge...the 1kb game compertition.

ok the rules are the game has to be 1kb or LESS!!!
it cant just be a quiz or just be a button it has to be a GAME!!! and it has to survive the judgement in the flash portal!!
Basically the person who scores the HIGHEST after judgement wins!
what do you win? NOTHING...just the pure thrill that you beat everyone else.

you can show your game on spamtheweb for now all the contestents will submit there game to the flash portal on 30th September at 10pm GMT

so good luck and have fun :)

and no loading the file externally..thats cheating.

to show the kind of thing were after heres a 1.5kb game here this sample shows you what can be done with such a small file size...although this is still too big :D

Don't forget compression, it should allow two to five times more "letters". Vector graphics (and small GIFs for that matter) don't take up a lot either.

Didnt know there was such thing as compression for single letters :p
In my GCSE ict class i got told every letter takes up 1 byte :p

yup there have been games in the past less than 1KB but this challange is to do a better one than everyone else....

1k probably won't be that great as far as games go. 10k you might see significantly better results. Also that snake game should be under 1k. I saw a version a while ago at less than 700 bytes.

wow well want sum advice in the dynamic text box uncheck AutoKern it adds an extra kb worth of space open. Im at 1kb but do we need to add direction ingame or is it okay in the description cause in the snake game I found that it didnt have directions in game.

I remember I made a pong game in about 700 bytes :X That was extremly simple; making a full game in under 1kb is silly :o

well your supposed to tap it but ya I just found it funny that some people would be rapidly hitiing their keyboards to play such a tiny little game, but yours is pretty good for 3kb
