Madness Day 2008 and MGS Winners!

We had another great Madness Day and picking the top ten was REALLY HARD. Krinkels provided us with a list of his seven favorites, and we consulted with him to put together a final ordered list of ten. There might be some controversial picks in the list; for example we all loved Bar Brawl but the naked butts apparently made some folks squeamish. Krinkels says that MindChamber made "the best damn madness movie ever", but he isn't in the running since he's NG staff. Here are the final results:

Our next contest will be for best Halloween Flash. To enter the contest, simply include the Newgrounds Halloween Preloader (you can see a preview on our preloaders page) and stick it at the front of your submission. Also, include a link to the 2008 Halloween collection on any menus at the beginning or end of your submission.

The goal this year is to make something REALLY SCARY, but you are also welcome to make something funny.

You can submit your Flash any time between now and October 31st. We got cash prizes!

1st-3rd: $1,000 each
4th-5th: $500 each
6th-10th: $250 each

All winners will receive t-shirts and stickers! You are also welcome to submit games. All entries can use our FLASH ADS to generate revenue! If you run the Flash ads, please stick our Halloween tank logo to the side of the ad, or somewhere else in your submission. Also try to use music from the Audio Portal, and include links to the songs! LOAD THAT SHIT UP LIKE AN NG BURRITO.

We will also be having our third annual Treasure Hunt and another pumpkin carving contest in October, sooooo stick around!

Yay, congratulations to the winners of both events.

I still haven't watched some of the Madness winners, for example, I haven't watched "Madness- Confabulation" yet.
I'll try to watch all the winners later this day.

Oh, and Mindchamber's submission was great, I can't say if he deserved the first place because as I said, I haven't watched all submissions yet, but it's style was great. The sketchy look was good, I'm not sure whether that was done on purpose or it was due to the short time he had to make it, but hey, Madness' faces are based on sketches, so it fits perfectly.
Wow, I should write a review including what I just said... Later, maybe.
