So then why in the hell do we break up companies that get too big...
Uh, we don't, fuckwit. Microsoft was still intact last time I looked. AT&T has re-merged. Antitrust law is dead, and you, are a fuckwit.
Someone here has no idea how the global economy works, or how many trade barriers there are between nations.
What the fuck are you babbling about? Go deep, my son. Tell us how the global economy works. (This ought to be good!)
Yes, I'm just scared shitless of the stuff you realized a year ago back in eigth grade.
I'm 49 years old, fuckwit, and everybody here knows it except the fuckwits.

Terrific comeback. We're all impressed.

Microsoft got too big around ten years ago, so the government broke up the company. And maybe you didn't notice, but there are many companies competeing with each other in this country and even more around the world. They have too much to gain competing with each other to work together.
and you, are a fuckwit.
omg you said it three times! Please stop, you're hurting my feelings!
What the fuck are you babbling about? Go deep, my son. Tell us how the global economy works. (This ought to be good!)
And what, exactly, do you want to know?
Lets start off with the matter at hand: "Global corporate hegemony gets what it wants." If this were true then there would be no minimum wage (which was upped a couple years ago in the US), there would be no international trade barriers, no tarriffs, no corporate tax, no INTERPOL, no WTO, no UN, no child labor laws, no safety standards, no welfare, nothing at all to help people or to hinder business.
I'm 49 years old,
Sorry, I was refering to your level of intelligence
fuckwit, and everybody here knows it except the fuckwits.
Five times?! Have you no mercy?

while i agree with you, i find your argument much more inteligent and compelling than the OP'S.

You can take off the tinfoil hat now.
I, for one, welcome our new liberal masters IF THEY'RE GOING TO PUT A CHIP IN MY ARM THAT INSTANTLY TELLS HOSPITALS ABOUT MY PENICILLIN ALLERGY.
And-- shit, why are we afraid of being tracked, anyway? I don't care if the government knows that I woke up in the middle of the night to go eat at Taco Bell. They can even monitor who I have sex with for all I care. I don't think they have the ability to use that information against me, and (them being my government and all) they are obligated to use it for my benefit.
These things are being developed by a private company, they currently have no feature that will allow anyone to ping your location from long distance, and in the future they might be used as blood sugar monitors.
Yes, blood sugar monitors. They're going to be used to save lives. OMG KEEP THEM AWAY FROM ME.

Oh, and the "tinfoil hat" thing isn't funny. Unless the hat is connected to a groundwire, the hat actually acts as an ANTENNAE. The tinfoil hats are for people ALREADY infiltrated by the microchips; that's why they act so strange.
Did anyone else see this and literally laugh out loud?

RFID chips do nothing but store a small amount of information. They aren't magic.

Exactly--that, and a little transmitter--although that small amount can be pretty large. When it comes to plain text like your name, address, SSN, credit rating, bank balance and such, even 10 MB is a warehouse.
No magic, no sci-fi, just a real boost for Big Brother.

Knock it off with the tinfoil hat bullshit. It stopped being clever back in '93, the minute The X Files hit the airwaves and made every mouth-breathing mope in the U.S. aware of it.

Nobody objects to people with health problems voluntarily accepting an implantable chip. The objection comes from the possibility of making it mandatory for everyone, as part of a cashless society and a necessity for getting paid, buying things, or being considered a legal citizen.
And-- shit, why are we afraid of being tracked, anyway? I don't care if the government knows that I woke up in the middle of the night to go eat at Taco Bell. They can even monitor who I have sex with for all I care.
Then you're a sheep. Make your own decision about what the government puts under your skin, and I'll make mine.
Frankly, I'd consider shooting heroin with a used needle safer.

If you're not aware of the degree to which Big Government and Big (global) Business are in bed with each other, you're asleep. Look into how campaigns are financed. Follow the money. Wake up.

Nobody objects to medical devices available for voluntary use by people with health problems. Nobody objects to chipping pets. On the other hand, sheep like this guy scare the crap out of me.
Do as you please with your own body, but keep your bloody hands off of mine.

Oops, I should have read farther than the first couple of paragraphs. It looks like he was being sarcastic. Not a sheep.
