I was in Psychology today, and some other teacher comes in and goes, "Hey, one of my kids needs to take a test. Is that all right?"
I've only seen this kid in the hallways before, and he was walking around with the group of "special" kids (i.e. the kids with downs syndrome, severe autism, etc.). I never knew why he was always with that group, because it seemed like nothing was wrong with him. Well, today I found out.
He was taking his test, and he started tapping his foot. Except it was more like deafening booms of foot-thunder, and I couldn't stop staring. Then he started itching his head. Then he threw down his pencil on his desk and picked it up in less than a second. Then he was chill for a little bit.
"SH-SH-SHIT. FYEEEEEE-" he yelled. It looked like he was giving birth. I didn't know what to do, so my immediate reaction was to burst out laughing. I looked around and noticed I was the only one laughing. A friend of mine was trying to hold it in in the back of the room, but no one else reacted like I did. I tried to stop myself, and just sunk into my seat.
The kid was like hyperventilating, then he had a calm expression on his face, then he smiled, and walked out with his test.
Again I laughed.
"WHAT. WAS. THAT?!" I yelled uncontrollably; still laughing. It felt like I was the one with Tourettes.
The girl in front of me goes, "Stop being a dick. He has Tourettes."
It was at this point that said "friend" of mine did actually start laughing, and we eased the tension in the room by laughing about it. My teacher just stared at me, but she didn't say anything. Luckily no one really seemed offended but the girl in front of me, and everyone else just managed to shrug it off.
I would have posted this earlier, but I was working. It just popped back into my head when I logged onto the computer.
