The daily #1 flash Movie and Game should be shown on the front page somewhere. The current front page system, as I see it, is that when a staff member sees a particularly good Flash they will stick it on front page.. so that really is dependant on staff being on and looking at flash. For example the top games hasn't changed over the last 2 days or so. Now, I'm not sure where this would be shown.. I thought perhaps you just stick it on the FP movies/games list and treat it as any other front page flash, if a staff member sees it there and likes it a lot they may decide to keep it on front page for longer, whatever. Another idea could be to remove 2 flash from each section (Movies/Games) so there would still be 10 (a nice number) of each, and then above those 10, in the "Features <games|movies>" section still, have the daily #1 centered there, with a note or some signage saying it was the best flash of the day..

Something I saw in either MK1 or 2 was someone suggesting to be given a notice before they post on the BBS while they've got a ban to reduce the amount of users spending time on a post, just to get an alert window that they're banned, so I thought, is this the same with Audio and portal bans?

If so, then could a ban message be implemented with all types of bans? If they're portal, audio or review as well as just the BBS. Thank you for reading this.

This kinda leads into something I was thinking of. When someone is review banned, or even just has a review deleted, they get a PM from M-Bot. I was wondering if that feature could be put on for BBS bans too, with it being automatically signed like review bans are (I know a few Newgrounders who have complained about being banned without knowing which mod to bitch and moan to). As far as the rest of your idea, mwmike, Portal bans (or at least Blammings, the main cause of Portal bans) receive e-mails, and I have no idea how the audio system works so you'd have to ask an AP fan for that.

Mods should be able to change the genre of a flash submission. So many spam flashes are listed under other genres. There should be some way to deal with this. I think allowing mods to designate submissions as spam would be the most effective way to solve the problem.

I will pay in the amount of 10,000 blowjobs to whoever takes down the following ad, as it causes my internet browser, and the browsers of other users I've talked to, to freeze up and require a restart.

I'm not against Newgrounds having Advertisements - whatever keeps the site going, right? But this one Ad is just so troublesome that I think it should be removed, or replaced by another, less disruptive ad, from the same sponsor.

I sometimes notice that I find something wrong or different about a game the second time through, but I already reviewed it. We should be able to edit reviews, but, but, but, wait, there's absolutely nothing bad about it. Good Day.

What I'd really like is a way to bring over sections from other tabs in my profile to my "Main" tab. For example, being that we are a sizable developer, it would be great if I could set it up to show all the different sections of my "Flash" tab on my main page of our profile. I feel that most players don't investigate through all the different tabs, they stop at the main page, so we want to make it really stand out that we've put out a lot of great projects on NewGrounds.

It's clear with the recent ability to drag and drop sections in your profile to re-arrange it as well as all the other existing features that the staff values profile customization. This is what I feel could really make the profile a much better feature for Hero Interactive.

Reviews needing to be checked before it goes on the Flash submission page and reviews. Possibly a new bot could be used. This will keep out more spam.

A better and more powerful way to edit the home pages of the user. Yes, the user page editing system (now) is good and stuff, but seriously, people need a better way to modify their own user pages. Choosing from different styles or letting the user create their own style is the way to go.

I have two suggestions related to collabs:

First of all, users should have the ability to co-author many other people, sometimes people who worked on the flash can't appear as co-authors and therefore they don't get too much credit. If there are many authors (more than 10 for example), you only show the first 10 and then there is a button which says "see all". By clicking on that button, you access to the full list of authors.

My other suggestion is that when using the "rich content linking" (yeah, that new fancy way to link to submissions), it should show all the authors. Currently it just shows one (the one who submitted the flash, I think).

Here's an example to both suggestions:

1. A lot of people didn't get co-authored. It just shows 9 authors where there actually are 50.
2. The link I just posted, says (if I'm right) that the author is Stamper. It could at least show 2 or 3 authors and a suspension point (...).

I have an idea for the geniuses of NG.....In the audio portal, I just posted my first song and when I went to select a genre...it wasnt there. The genre I am looking for would be electro or breakbeat or breaks. I posted my song under dance, thinking it would be the closest, but after hearing the other songs in dance genre I was way off. Anyways, just an idea!

why can't images be uploaded on pm's? Sometimes I wanna show my ng friends pics, but I gotta go on spamtheweb first! Its annoying!

Putting a "#" in a search query will cut off everything after it.

So a title with hash in between two other strings is unfindable, because it's indexed as being one string including the hash. (Example, genericflashseries#5)

How about making a way to get referral credit in the Fan-Net for linking to pages within NewGrounds? I started reviewing flash animations on my Rotten Tomatoes Journal to draw people into the often overlooked art of flash animation. It would be nice if there were a way to get credit for referrals to particular flash and audio pages besides the main page. Thanks.

Change the profile area on posts by a user who gets deleted to <deleted> instead of deleting all of that user's posts.

Some threads are impossible to follow, since they had a lot of posts by users who got deleted.

other than, of course, fixing the alphas, here's what i got:
*maybe allow guests to vote 0/5 on flash's, but it wont be worth much vote
*on categorys for submitting flash's (action-brawler, action-platformer, etc) one of the options is spam. take it off, cause eventually people are gonna make spam just to make it in the spam category
*maybe make a tutorial board, and put the as: main in it, so that people can make tutorials and it will be more organized
*maybe, similar to mii's and that playstation home game, make avatars, and the bigger your level, the more parts you have. so that way people will want will review more and the community will get bigger

How about a special "demo" option you can choose when submitting a flash that is just a test or just an intro to get feedback on a future project.

These demos would be automatically deleted after a certain period of time (1-2 weeks), after the author has received the feedback he was looking for. Just to free up space.

I clicked reply and quote on a post where someone uploaded child pronz (seriously), and it was deleted so quick that it was gone by the time I clicked the button. It told me "no thread exists", but the thread was still there, and people have probably run into it when clicking on less obviously "deletion worthy" posts.

Maybe redirect to a non-quote specific reply box to the same thread, or just have it say the post was deleted instead of the misconception of the whole topic.

How about a spoiler type system for flash reviews?
Like, if there's a specific part of the movie (such as the ending or a twist) that they want to talk about, they can have this little part of there review with "SPOILER: SHOW/HIDE".

Kind of a stupid idea, I know, probably no one would ever use it..

how about when submitting movies/games, there is a preview button to see how it will look once submitted? like, if theyy forget to make the w/h of the movie right, and they dont know until a couple mintues, some people would have already blammed in that time?
also, similar to myspace, on everyone's profile, it should say if they're on or not, right? thats especially useful in collabs.

list of members who've downloaded your track- disable download for non-members.

Too many of my tracks get zeroed/downloaded simultaneously. If there are 5 or 6 downloads of a track, shouldn't that at least equate to one or two decent votes?

I've seen the threads where people try to justify stealing other peoples content without giving credit and it really bothers me. I'm not even sure why these people weren't banned for openly revealing that they do this.

Disable download for <2 votes, require vote for download. It's as simple as that.

My tracks aren't amazing, but I post enough original content to be paranoid about this.

Add some way to link to individual posts in a topic, instead of just each page, or have the page scroll to the post that is linked to.

First off, let's deal with the little problem of "special" characters. I've seen users try to post in Japanese before, and fail (see Tsukasa-Hiiragi's comments here), and I, personally, once tried the "reverse text" formatting character, with disastrous results. So yeah, it would be cool if NG allowed more "special" characters, rather than limiting to just the usual plus a few accents.

Also, I thought of an idea a few nights back that would be pretty cool... Why not have changeable CSS? Now, hear me out here: wouldn't it be cool if someone could go into their account and make NG look like classic NG, YouTube, MySpace, 4chan, or other popular sites? I don't exactly know how that would work, but I do think a lot of people would at least use the NG Classic style.

Also, public ban messages, as a way for a mod to show the userbase what is and isn't bannable. Just an idea I ripped from the imageboards... It would help to keep users, at least those who didn't want a smack with the banstick, in line, by teaching them what kinds of posts are and aren't ban-worthy.

Philosophy forum. I've seen a lot of philosophy threads around General lately and I think these insightful and halfway intelligent threads deserve a place to flourish. Also, from a logistic standpoint, making it a rule that religious threads belong in the philosophy forum would help weed out those threads from General.

The ability to have multiple URLs displayed in your profile, and the ability to label each one, so you can link to more than one of your other sites. IE so that you can link to your youtube profile, your online photo album, a place to buy your music online, etc.

Thistopic just made me think of something that I had thought about before when marking reviews.

I think the helpful, useless, and abusive buttons should be spaced out just a little bit more. Not much, but just a little. I know that I have accidentally marked review incorrectly too because I thought my mouse was over the useless button, but instead it was over the abusive button. Related picture below of what they are like now.

Also, I think that the FAQ needs to mention something about the date of abusive reviews. How are people suppose to know what to mark as abusive and what not if you never tell them?

I've got one, remove this damn thing. I can seriously think of many better ways to use that extra space.

* A list of the last 5 topics created
* Put announcements there with links
* A list of the last 10 posts
* Links to noteworthy topics (Rage's abusive reviews topic for example)
* Expanded info on the current UOTD (their news posts, latest flash (if any), etc.)
* Current events happening on Newgrounds (Madness day, Mod meets, holidays, etc.)

Hmm... here's a couple.

1. I feel bad for the audio artists on this site. There are really good songs on here that get downloaded by the masses, but never really commented on or given feedback. I think that audio artists should at least get the right to see who is downloaded their music. I think on NG members should be able to download the content so that artist can keep track of it and know they got fans. I don't know if to take that a step forward and say that every song downloaded by a NG user gets added to their favorites on their profile.

2. The "Some account type thingy here" box in the lower bottom right. I think the most practical use for it is to the four links at the upper right corner in there. It's kinda annoying to have to scroll all the way back up to the top just to view my own profile, check my inbox, manage my account, or just log out. NG has all links for it's site at the top and bottom so why not do the same with user account links?

3. Image Portal? Perhaps something that we can upload wallpapers and icons for the site so that admins don't have to manually do it. I looked at the downloads and it said you guys aren't taking submissions for art so that might ease your trouble? Who knows, you could even have a blam and save for it and maybe fix a way to put "newgrounds.com" on a corner (of the artist's choice)? Of course, this isn't necessary, but convenient.
