Family guy always has the worst plot ever and it relies on stupid flashbacks every 1 min that aren't funny.

Family guy is funny for a few episodes every 2 years but watch it too much and its the same shit over and over again. They rely on so much old material they're like the microsoft of TV

And South Park doesn't just rely on Cultural References as plot lines for entire episodes?
Seriously I actually get more laughs out of Family Guy these days then I do South Park and all the FG hate started when SP aired their two part episode.
Sure Family Guy may rely on cutaway gags every minute or so but they know the audience. ADD riddled teenagers who eat too much sugar.

Both family guy and south park went down hill. After south parks little family guy thing I rarely watch both shows. Family Guy died after they brought it back, South park died some where in the tenth season.

It's clearly bad for you.
I can see you lost some IQ points by becoming a fan of it.

ya bro seth totally knows his audience is 12 yr olds. thats why he has all the wonderful 80s references no one under 20 would understand, gay, ridiculously long ass musical numbers and boring brian loves lois plotlines.

It's not even Family Guy anyway, it's Seth MacFarlane's other project.

Dont mind him, he does not represent the rest of us fans who love family guy. I find family guy as funny as south park, and depending on the episodes of either show, I may choose one over the other. However, just because you can't understand some jokes family guy presents with its "flashbacks" doesnt make it bad, it is trying to appeal to many, MANY groups of people out there. As opposed to South Park which pretty much every concept has a plot revolved around 3 things:
- political issues (which are completely overdramaticized)
- social issues (which are also completely overdramaticized)
- something only druggies whom had smoked weed laced with LCD and PCP can come up with
And it is not only that, South Park has a lot more profanity than any Family Guy episode to date. Perhaps his balls have not dropped, but most fanboys of South Park are those little dumbass kids who think they are cool and flip you off as you walk down the street, you know what I am talking about.
The reason I say most fanboys of South Park rather than all is because the other portion is the normal mature ones like us.

I saw that Mario vid at game revolution. Totally ripped off the style from Family Guy, plus it wasn't very funny.

Sorry you fel that way. If you can call American Dad funny, you're sub-human. American ad just takes all the unwanted jokes from family guy and humps them into submission.

It's not a matter of understanding them. It's a matter of the whole process being lazy as all hell on the writer's behalf
The show was not always like that. Most people don't realize this, because they didn't watch it back when it was funny, but it's true. The older episodes had maybe one or two random jokes thrown in, and they were done responsibly
"I haven't been this confused since..."
NO
That is not an adequate setup for a joke. That allows any replaceable unfunny pop culture reference to take up time where some topical sitcom material could have been
Now I'm not some mindless hater of Family Guy who doesn't watch it because I get off to be nonconformist. I have my reasons for not liking the series anymore, and I think that they're completely valid
I liked that show back when it was canceled. It wasn't mainstream, and it didn't suck. The jokes were relevant and hilarious, and the episodes often served to make a point. Now it's... The Simpsons. A cesspool for pop culture jokes
The same could be said about South Park, too. The latest seasons haven't even felt like South Park to me
I don't know. I have faith in both series to get better. I really do. I guess I just have higher standards than most people, or something
