I can't say I'm an expert in the field of Norse Mythology, but I do like it despite my closest contact with it being "Age of Mythology".
But even there, they made some things cool. The interesting thing about the culture is their willingness of sacrifice. Modern day religions blindly follow what they consider an almighty and single god, while older cultures believed them to be powerful, but not indestructible, such as tyr's ripped off hand; courtesy of the world's most pissed off wolf, Fenrir, a personal favorite of mine.
