Ng Viking Army

This is a crew for anybody who is interested in viking culture, history, Norse mythology and the likes. Anyone can join if you have an interest in these areas. True vikings were around from 8th - 11th century AD so obviously there will be no progression in anything related to vikings. I think it is important to remember our culture and heritage. Anyone from Sweden, Denmark and Norway this may be of real interest to you.

I my self am particularly interested in how the vikings effected and changed the countries they invaded, where I come from is home to a viking settlement and I believe I have some viking blood in me.

Rules -

Don't be rude.
Don't be disrespectful.
Don't mock the 3 gods, Odin, Thor and Freyja.

I would like it it everyone talked in context of the viking times but at the same time this could be similar to roleplay so don't pretend to actually be a viking.

If your good you will ride to Valhalla on the back of Sleipnir. So let that be your incentive not to be a dick.

Although I find it an insult they managed to spell Oden wrong. Maybe there are different spellings depend on what rune alphabet they use.... who knows.

My friend had a dvd of that thing with the macdonalds drink and meatwad or something, and they had an episode at the end. Don't think it was viking related. Twas along time ago.

Yes, I only discovered them quite recently - very epic. They had a new album out this year, another viking metal band I like are equilibrium.

I'd like to join. I'm 1/4 Norweigan, and have always loved learning about Norse mythology. BTW, favorite figure in norse mythology would have to be Fenrir.

Mm. this one you wouldh ave remembered. They went to some Scandinavian country and read this book that had spells to summon a demon from a lake, and they played it and unknowingly summoned the beast. The beast destroyed the power lines and stuff, so they had to put it back to sleep with acoustic instruments. It was pretty funny.

Yes, I only discovered them quite recently - very epic. They had a new album out this year, another viking metal band I like are equilibrium.

They sound a lot like Children of Bodom in my opinion. Just with more keyboards.

I guess they do, I definitely prefer amon amarth, much heavier and more like vikings would have been. Viking metal has allot of flutes and wood wind instruments in it, makes it good.
