ever lock yourself out of your own wireless network? i was fiddling with the security settings on my netgear wireless router at that default ip address website, i wanted to make my un hackable wireless network even more secure, but i made it so secure that i could not connect to my own wireless router. i got that red x message saying the requirements of this computer dont match the router.
so i plugged in an Ethernet cord from my laptop to lan port 1 on my netgear wireless router, and i was connected to "cant access this :p 2" i guess the 2 was there to show i was connected to port 1 on my lan.
so thats the remedy if you screw up on your wireless router, manually plug into the lan port.

Hack in to your computer? Probably not. Use your router as a free wireless hotspot and use the internet at your household's expense along with your shared documents and other network resources such as printers? Yes.
It's one thing to unknowingly have your network insecure, but it just takes a special kind of stupid to reprimand somebody for securing theirs. What a tool.
