Graphics are not going to get much better honey. the reason quality has gone up on NG is because the artists who are here have gotten better, and we have attracted better artists. Atists in general wont absorb cosmic rays over years and become better and better, until our power rivals that of God.

Video game graphics are also hitting a plateau. Sure they might be able to get better, which won't be very noticable at this point, but the sheer time and effort it would cost is not worth any profit.

If you are talking about how much crisper animation looks today than those of the 1950's, that is really due to a change in techniques and mediums. Old disney movies have some of the most beautiful water effects I have ever seen.
