Sarah Palin's E-mail Hacked

Basically, Sarah Palin's private yahoo personal e-mail got hacked by someone in 4chan. They then posted screenshots of some of the controversial things she was saying. But as soon as these screenshots were put up, they got taken down. My friend took a screen shot of one of the messages and posted it and it got taken down and he was banned. Apparently the FBI or whatever also wanted to question him in regards to the hacked e-mail account.

Basically, I have read this e-mail and he tells me there are more, but Sarah Palin criticizes McCain pretty harshly. I will not post the message up here because I have a fear of being raided and questioned and whatever, but it says in the e-mail, "Arghhhh! He is so inconsistent and purposefully misleading." I'm pretty sure she was talking about McCain.

So lets hear what you think about the whole situation.

He then came to see me in the hospital, and from there we became best friends, including a wild time we smoked pot, got the munchies, and stole a pig so we could eat it.

True story. I totally didn't make that up to look important on the interwebs. I'd like to prove it, but the FBI would magically be able to locate me and question me despite the fact that you can't actually 'bug' a picture and get a notice everytime someone posts it.

That there's this huge schism in the Republican party and its been there for decades. Clearly we can't vote for a party with a schism in it, especially one who can't select Presidential and VP candidates who can get along and that all of this would insinuate that the move was purely political and that McCain doesn't make any decisions actually based on his beliefs.

I mean we could actually talk about all that stuff and pull the same card being pulled on dems, or we could argue about whether this is a valid possibility... We all know its possible, so why don't we approach this topic from the angle of "it could be true and what does that mean if it is" instead of "lol, photoshoped"

Then if its a lie, it'll come out and we'll know.

Screenshots, contact list, etc. They seem to think it's real. Fox News has reported the hacking, referring to gawker.

This is too fucking funny. I was in the thread on /b/ where they found out that Palin used a yahoo email account and rallied an attempted hack. I didn't see how the thread turned out, but I think I did just a few minutes ago.

Anyway, apparently she had two yahoo accounts. She was under criticism for it, since they aren't backed up and can be wiped clean easily. The one that was hacked appeared to be being used for personal purposes, mostly.

PS: If you didn't get the memo, I think this is complete bull. I definatly needs reliable links before I believe any of this, not to mention how easy this is to fabricate? What's to stop me from making Yahoo account under the name "Sarah Palin", then sending people "controversial" emails? Yah, that's right nothing. Really, if this reveals some massive shit about Sarah Palin, it obviously fake. If it was real, it would probably be full of mundane stuff. Should this happen to be real, then shame on the person who did it, but I highly doubt the GOP vice presidential pick uses an insecure email and uses it to send important information...

try the latter link, it has stuff though its not too controversial. I'll explain my earlier post, but I think the big thing to come out of this is the suggestion that Palin is tampering with evidence that she was breaking the law in what accounts she was using and then deleting the two of them when all of her government e-mails are supposed to occur on the government e-mail and be accessible to others.

I think the biggest thing here is that she deleted the accounts after she had the opportunity to secure them. I don't blame her when pictures of her family were stolen, but why she went to the extent of deleting them when they were already public is beyond me, on top of the fact that it really does make it look like she's hiding something.

I'm more concerned with why she deleted the accounts and what may have been in the e-mails now...

The huge schism was a reference to the "schism" in the democratic party, it was related because republicans were calling for the e-mails to be accessible, etc. If the account contained anything about McCain being a flip flopper, that too would have indicated a schism, though I actually didn't see any of that in the salvaged e-mails. So, I may not have any ground to stand on, but I was being mostly sarcastic.

Also, vaguely on topic as most everything was about the validity of this, and now its been recognized as being fairly accurate information and that her account was hacked.

In a way I have to apologize to the OP because I was about to post on here (around 4:48) that this was complete bollocks and chastise him for attempting to hoax us. Then Wolf Blitzer stoped what he was talking about on the Situation Room thereby saving me from mistakenly posting.

Furthermore, someone talked me into watching the Palin interview (or the tail end since I just got home from class) and they ended with talking about how screenshots of these e-mails were posted on-line and then were pulled. The one discrepancy between the news reports and the OP is that it is the Secret Service not FBI who is investigating this.

It really scares me how well the pictures have been contained by the government. I mean, pictures posted on 4chan in regards to this have been removed almost instantly. Every rapidshare and photobucket upload has also been removed quickly. I mean christ, if it wasnt for the gawker.com link, I would have marked this as some elaborate hoax.

It just scares me is all, how effectively the government has censored the emails.

The way I see it is that who ever hacked it has the pictures on there computer and some of the people who see it are going to save the pictures so there not going to disapere, ever.

That was my bad. He told me authorities had shown up at his house. I thought the secret service only worked for the president so I thought maybe the FBI had done it. :\
