Dark Knight Fucked Up

They killed Two-Face. No Two-Face means no Riddler. They are BFFs and cannot be in a separate movies. Like in Batman Returns, the movie would've fallen under the category of comedy had it not been for Two-Face. Why not save him? Why'd he die? I was flabbergasted when I saw Two-Face, and half expected a cliff hanger...

Why did they kill Two-Face?

I'm pretty sure the people who actually made the movie both:

A. Know what the fuck they are doing.

and

B. Can do whatever the fuck they want.

It's not entirely impossible to just bring back a character by whatever means they want.

BFFs or not, there has already been a leak on who the next villains are going to be, and The Riddler and Penguin were announced. Supposedly Philip Seymour Hoffman is going to play Penguin, and Johnny Depp the Riddler.

Jim Carey was the best Riddler, he should remain Riddler.

Also, if Batman blew all his shit up, and now is on the run for multiple rape charges, where can the movie go from here?

that part was really lame.
They could've blamed the deaths on the joker.

And the only problem they really have now is that they killed on character, and the actor for the other can't return to reprise the role (obviously).
And the Joker was always the biggest villain in the batman series, and nobody's ever going to be able to do it now that ledger is dead.

It also fucked up because it was actually just a mediocre movie with mediocre actors. Except Morgan Freeman, he's awesome... but his role was minor. So yeah, they fucked up with that movie.

I'm surprised people like it so much. It's like the placebo effect. People hyped it up so much, everyone is pounding it into your head that it's the best movie ever, that Heath Ledger acted with supernatural ability etc... that you miss the fact that it lacks a lot of substance.

Batman Begins was better for fuck sake.

I agree that christian Bale's performance wasn't the best, but that's just him.
Heath Ledger didn't act supernaturally, but he did well, since it was such a huge role he was taking on.
I don't believe it wouldn't have been as hyped up if he hadn't had died.
Aaron Eckart's performance is FREAKIN' AWESOME but is casted out by the huuuuge shadow created by ledger's death.
Morgan Freeman does well.

That's the thing, I think a god storyline could be achieved with the manhunt for Batman and Riddler figuring out who he is, then allying with Penguin to take him down or something. Also, if they reaize they fucked up with two-face, they may cut out all that realism for a moment and use Ra's al Ghul's Lazarus pits to bring him back. (Ironically, that is how Riddler figured out Batman's identity in the comics, but that storyline also involved... Hush.

I was watching BBC Three a few nights ago and on 60 Seconds, and apparently, The Dark Knight is returning to cinemas in the New Year to raise money to send to charity, and to boost the chance of Heath Ledger getting an Oscar.

Good for people who haven't seen it I reckon, but as the film is scheduled for release on Blu-Ray and DVD on December 3rd, I'll probably be watching it at home, and not the cinema.
