Back in the day ('06 for me) when the highest ranked flash was The YuYu, at 4.24/5. Nowadays, thw quality of flashes have increased quite a bit, but we don't see any new works from some of these awesome animators. With the exception being Granfaloon's Valhalla Knights in February '08.

Flash movies used to be judged on the amount of hard work the animator put into his flash movie, but nowadays it seems like the flash movie is judged somewhere between entertainment and flash effort, which is a good medium to be in.
People might disagree with where movies should be ranked, but nobody can question that Metal gear Awesome is a good movie.

I believe a movie has to have good quality and entertainment value in order to be good. Now the Yuyu and assorted movies were really good but their story bored me so, on the other hand metal gear is somewhat funny but the effort put into it is not something one could consider amazing. So in the end
Quality of work > over quality of story but
the work isn't nearly as good with out a quality story
