Weird dreams - movie ideas

I've been having several interesting dreams lately. For the past...month or so, i've documented 6 dreams. They were all very bizzar, but the concept of each dream put several ideas in my head, that i created extensive film scripts for each one. Some of them make sense, most of them are still in progress. But i find it fascianting that, after i'm awake, and i remember (most of) the dream, i then continue to build on this obscure idea, creating somthing that i find, rather impressive.

I'll post one of my ideas later. Has anyone ever experienced this sort of thing before?

Most good ideas do just come out of nowhere. At least for me that is the case. I would really like to see these ideas of yours. When abouts will you be posting them?

70% of my flash movies are inspired by dreams so yeah.

Here is one of my ideas. I named the script "Strings". It's basically a horror/mystery film. I'll post this as i have written it as the script synopsis.

The story is of Michael Lords (main character). He works for an international magazine, and he travels all over the world, and stays at the local Bed-n-Breakfast locations. (1 night hotels, ya know...)
It begins with Michael going to a B&B in London, where he meets Ellis and Louis Dawnbridge. Louis is a mute, and he always wears a scarf around his neck. Ellis is a rather large woman, seeming like the traditional nice old grandma type. Anyway, Michael has a terrible experience at their establishment, and writes a bad review for them in the magazine.

Now, this is were things get weird (And trust me, this part was terrifying in the dream, And also, with the probability that this won't become an actual movie, i'm going to give away the ending, lol)
After seeing the bad review, Ellis is enraged, and decides to employ a little "Black Magic", to get back at Michael. What she uses, is a life side Art model doll (you know those things...usually made of wood, and they have moveable limbs, and mounted on a stick).

So, here's how the whole thing plans out. Ellis send this magically evil puppet thing after Michael. (again, this thing is life-size, and fucking brutal). While he's staying at the Bed-n=Breakfast, the puppet sneaks in, and kills the owners. Eventually, after several occasions of this happening, the police become suspicious of Michael.

So to shorten this up a little bit, Michael must find, and destroy this evil puppet. However, this thing is fast, agile, and vicious. One scene (the one that woke me up), is a scene where Michael is running up the stairs, and the puppet bends over backwards, and basically tramples over him while running up the stairs. (it makes sense in my head....lol)

Sooooo anyway, it's all about an old lady, and her evil life size puppet, getting back at some guy who wrote a bad review. There's lots of violence, plot twists, and gore.

Yep. When I was a kid I had a collection of little notebooks with comic style picture stories in them. Alot of them came from dreams... some from movies and other things I saw.

I look forward to reading some bizarre stuff.

That sounds like it would make a very intense scary movie! I like the assassin type killing thing going on...

I've had a few dreams that i sorta remember. And i never think to write them down! Maybe i'll start doing that now.

Seriously! Part of my dream was some old guy getting his skull crushed against a stone fireplace by the puppet thing. It was weird because, this "thing", had no face, and it never stopped!

One scene, that i though would be really cool...i call it "the drop-off". Old lady Ellis leaves the puppet at the doorstep of some house. Outside it's raining, thunder, lightning, etc. So one flash of lightning goes off, and nothings there. a few seconds later, another flash, and the puppet appears out of nowhere! Just standing at the door...waiting.

If anyone else wants to share there strange dreams, and with the help of other, create a full story of it, feel free to post anything. I'm going to be bumping this thread every once in a while when i have new ideas to share.

I had a dream like this.

It goes like this:

It was just a ordinary day in P.E. (Just without the dodge balls :P). Then all of a sudden the ceiling would come crashing down and aliens would come down and kidnap me and put me into a gladiator type arena. They would say I was some sort of ultimate champion. They would drop this huge TV type device into the Gym. The class would watch myself fight aliens which but me into impossible odds. I would somehow manage to defeat the aliens and come back to Earth into the Gym room...

I didn't get further into the dream, I woke up. >_>

Nice twist on a somewhat typical shot.

The shot we all know is- the door either opens or gets knocked down, with the beast standing in the doorway, at which point a flash of lightning releases. I like yours more.
