Iconhelpers section question

I always make 5+ daily icons for the iconhelpers section. And yesterday I saw something that I couldn't understand. The day before yesterday it used to say: 1004 Done, but now it says: 896 done :/

What happened? Those flash were deleted or something?

I'm just curious, btw.

I don't think anyone here would know exactly why, but we can probably guess that a bunch of them were taken off the site. Only other thing I can think of is if some of those flashes on the counter are taken off after a certain amount of time.

They just place the icons permanently on the flash page of the submission and get removed from the list. So it looks like less are done, but they are removed from the list as a whole. And yes, some authors remove their flash, hence making it useless to design an icon for it.

Submissions fall off the list as administrators approve the icons you make, and new icon-less submissions will take their places.

We appreciate everyone who's made icons so far! A few of you have made hundreds, even thousands. User contributions are directly beneficial to the entirety of the site, regardless of how small or insignificant it might seem. For example, let's say you create an icon for a submission - that submission could be on hundreds of user pages, or in a collection, or part of a series. There are countless scenarios... all of which would display the icon you've made for it!

If you have some spare time, why not make a few? Eventually, a gallery displaying all the icons you've made will show up in the "contributions" section of your personal User Page, so if you feel like making some, make 'em good!
