XP or Vista?

XP was better. >:(, I should never had changed to Vista.
So, what do you prefer, Vista or XP?

I actually prefer Vista. It's very user friendly and with a decent computer like me, it runs just fine. It seems like the people who complain the most about Vista are the ones with poor computers and older hardware that wasn't designed to work with Vista. I haven't had a single problem getting new hardware to work with my computer.

Although XP is still good. If you have an older computer, I think XP is the way to go.

Just to let the people who haven't used Vista (most of you guys) know, you can easily change the settings to be much more to your liking. The majority of people who complain about it have never even tried doing that. Plus Vista has DirectX10, so trying to say that XP is better for gaming is a crapshoot.

With that said, I still enjoy the maturity of XP. Once I build my next computer in about a year, I'll probably be getting a 64-bit version of Vista.

I prefer XP but I'm like one of those old people who fear new technology. It's all complicated and will probably grow its own mind and take over the world. Nah, I've used both and while vista has some pretty cool features, I still prefer xp.

I just tested your theory and opened up Microsoft Hearts. You're wrong. It works fine and looks better than Hearts from the older versions of Windows.

I recently downgraded from Vista to good old XP. The best decision I've made - Vista drove me to the point where I did not want to use my own computer.

I declawed my vista and now it's running almost like XP. I bought it the week it came out with a laptop it only cost 300 dollars, XP was just too expensive. It's a bad sign when the newer system costs less than the older one.

Patterns are more useful when they demonstrate causation. This breaks down when you consider windows 1, 3, NT, 2000, and 2003.

The real pattern here isn't good-bad-good-bad, but simply that whenever a huge set of changes is made, a huge set of problems is created. That and NT has always had much more luck than dos based windows.
