Yesterday we had a dance in our school, it wasn't a big event but just a little dance after the game. I was with my group of friends and a girl that I really like came over and started dancing.
My friend walked up to me and said "Hey, let me ask her to dance for you" and of course I said "Fuck no". But then, guess what, the retard still does it, and ruins any chances I had from making a good first move on her. Not only that, we didn't even get to dance because thanks to my "Friend" things became awkward.

I don't think I made myself clear enough.
I went to talk to her and maybe dance with her but things were awkward because word had spread and everyone was gawking at us expecting something. Had my friend not said anything then I could probably had made a move without making her feel like some test subject or something like that.
