Goddamnit Vista.. 2008-09-13 01:43:17 Reply

I recently downgraded to Vista Ultimate from XP media center. Now I need another two gigs of RAM, and possibly a new sound card. I have a Creative Soundblaster X-FI Xtreme Audio card. It's output is the best I've ever heard, ever.

Well, there seems to be some compatability issues between these cards and vista, so I'm out to get a new one tomorrow.

Anyone have any suggestions of other vista-friendly cards that compete (performance wise) with the X-Fi series?

What a useless answer. If you're looking for some compatible hardware for Vista, it's better to just ask the people who are there that are selling it.

It depends though, are you ordering it or buying it straight from there?

Why would I want to downgrade twice? I actually like PC gaming. Fuck Apple.

I'm not sure, if I see what looks like a good deal, I may buy something in a store, only to come home and find it cheaper online. If I start shopping online, I don't even know where to start.. blah.

You call going to Vista downgrading? It's called upgrading.
I, myself, hate Vista, but I suppose it's an ok OS, but seriously, saying "Downgrade" is a bit over the top.

I can't actually imagine why you're looking down here, but while you are...

Well, from XP, it isn't a lie.
