experienced platformer's help?

Okay, so I really need to know how to make moving platforms, a health bar, and code to trigger a hazard on and off every few seconds...I just started flash a few months ago so....yeah. pretty much

Do you understand basic code like variables, if statements, for loops etc? I'm asking because if you do it will be easy to explain the logic of the code to you.

i understand the definitions of certain things (e.g. tweening, boolians, objects, movie clips, filters, stuff like that. I understand very basic coding and can program those by myself (like timeline control buttons, stop frames, etc.) and can make buttons and stuff.
