Wow, and that coming from and Ontarian... God knows what would happen to me if I dared speak against the Canadians in public...
On a side note, if it wasn't crazy enough of myself to fly over to London for only 3 days, it seems I'm gonna have to pull a 24h shift at work today (and tomorrow actually) to have everything done by Thursday. Well, off to buy a case of Red Bulls...
THIS BETTER BE WORTH IT!

No englander would be seen dead in a tshirt with a nation's flag of any kind on it.

He should wear a shirt worn by a popular football team called 'arsenal'. Then we can all go to a pub into a wonderful little district in Chelsea, they'll love him for it!!!

Heard they love Manchester United shirts as well. I also heard they hand out their Chelsea smiles to anyone who loves certain football teams. A gift from the locals.
Swallow your sugar pills, inject your saline, breath in some hydroxide mist and have a nice day.

Actually in order to truly fit in with everyone he should learn this and sing it loudly and as much as possibly, no one will suspect a thing!!!

This seems like a great event.
It would be nice to come down and meet some of the users from this website, you all seem like such a great bunch of people. Would be a great way for me to get to know people on here, and learn about what goes on ect.
So Saturday I take it, is there a time and a place? Sorry if you have stated the latter, I've only read the basics of this thread.

"When: Saturday, January 17th, 2009 Where: 1pm London Eye, in London England(duh)"
That information was in the very first post of this topic, good sir.

Posted at: 1/11/09 12:12 PM
Well fuck me, it turns out my tutor sneaked an extra hour into my lectures on friday.
And cos I bought the soopah doopah ultrah cheapo tickets, I can't get a refund.

Hmmm, looking at it, I may be able to get there, if I go straight from lectures to the train station.

err... the songbirds of the group want to do kareoke... so whichever day it turns out to be cheapest/least crowded we'll probably do beer and kareoke somewhere... im not really a fan of singing, although i think it would be humorous if Tom started singing.
At any rate some curious soul sent over a PM asking what all people talk about at these things, and I was poking around my youtube videos from comic con 06 where i actually had a video camera and ran across this thing. Its actually pretty entertaining. well I found it entertaining anyway. Tom & Krinkels at Comic Con 06

Or just don't go to your lecture. Lectures are a massive waste of time.
AND IF THEY OFFERED A TEST ABOUT BEING A GOOD FRIEND, I'D PUT MONEY DOWN THAT YOU'D SURELY FLUNK. I HOPE THIS IS GOODBYE. I HOPE THIS IS GOODBYE. I HOPE THIS IS GOODBYE.

Some kid in namco last year asked me, so what, do you all shop at the same store or something? I think he was trying to be insulting. but we do shop at the same store.

It's only an email, nothing will come of it, you're paying to be there, so they can't and won't actually do anything to you if don't turn up. What's the workshop actually on anyway?
Posted at: 1/11/09 01:32 PM
essentially in 50 minutes we go through everything we've done in the week before in my java lectures and workshops so its my perfect excuse to sleep through the preceeding week.

i think im actually getting the same train as will (coop) to euston, but if not i know we'll be arriving at the same sort of time, aside from BBM are Lost and Andersson coming to greet us at the station?

I heard a rumour that you should stay the fuck away from Euston, something to do with bad cables or something similar. Personally, I'm taking a train straight to Victoria and then a train from there to Waterloo. Planning to get to Victoria by about half 12 so I have half an hour to play with the underground trains and to make my way to the London eye.

Debating whether to come for the whole thing or just the pub crawl... I imagine I might enjoy the pub crawl slightly more than the other stuff, but nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say. The 18+ crowd does seem like the more appealing one to me though.
