So anyway, after a rigorous warm-up full of push-up holds, leg-lifts, and suicides, we went outside to run four laps around the track, but wait, we were delayed coming outside, so guess how much time we had to run around the track? 11 minutes, yayy. So anyways, after an heart attack and a puke sesh, I made it in 9 minutes 21 seconds..
Aw poor you. It will seem like nothing if you get outside once in a while. Try being on the soccer team! 2 miles is an average amount of running for us in a practice. And we do suicides, up hills. And if someone stops running, thats extra laps and hills for us! So stop bitching and deal with high school without your whining.

A mile is nothing. I run 2 miles every day and always feel fine after it, unless I run too soon after eating or something like that. I think you also said you ran a mile in 11 minutes...? Not trying to be an asshole, but again, that's nothing. You could walk that -- I run 2 miles in just over 10 minutes, and I'm not even at the pinnacle of fitness.

Just because people haven't been making you feel bad enough. I'll hop in and show'em how it's done.
On my university varsity Cross-Country team, we routinely run 5:00 mile repeats during intensity training. For the time trials in order to make it onto the team, my 6K split was 22:13. That translates to 3:42/km, or about 5:50/mile for a course that was about 3.75 miles. I'm not even top twelve on my team, and the school I compete for isn't even in the NCAA.
That being said, get fit. and average person should be able to complete a mile in about 7 1/2 minutes, especially if the extent of their distance is only 1 mile.

My gym teacher is a fucking nazi. She took away points from a fat kid for smelling bad, and lectures us on how horrible we are and need to improve. My mile wasn't too bad though, I got 6:48

Once I had to got to this place every week. It was a straight line and 2 miles. It took me about 25 minutes to walk it. Likewise for on the way back.
The point is, I'm hardly healthy and I can do a 2 mile walk in 25 minutes yet you can't do a mile in under 11 when you're running.
Somethings wrong there.

Wow, , my old P.E. made up this weird track running thing every week. First was Magic Mile Monday, then Terrific two mile Tuesday, then we didn't have one on wednsday because were I live we get out early on wednsdays, then Totally- Awesome Three mile thursday, then finally Fantastic four-mile Friday. The stupid names made it a beat easier to bear running IN FLORIDA HEAT. But, god damn does it keep you in shape. One kid weighed about 235 puonds, and lost a lot of it over the year.

This kid is whining because he had to run one mile? Guess what kid, I ran 8 yesterday non-stop and they were each under 8 minutes. Don't complain about one fucking mile. I'm probably not the only one here who runs more than that everyday.

Quit whining, fatty. People run more than that all the time, and you're whining shows you for the little bitch you are.

But, I can run for longer periods of time, just not very fast. Then again, who can't?
